G cars are really nice cars for what they are. Driving G37 compared to my old mustang was night and day handling. Shame to see infiniti has kind of gone downhill now
Yes the new cars (Q50) are less driver focused. But I haven't driven one to confirm.
StickShiftStudios yeah I think 7 speed transmission and electric steering holds them back. 3.0t has tons of potential too. They are a good bargain used but new it’s hard to justify the price tag
Fr you’re right ... I just got a g37 2 months ago . Never can look back now
BarXWeight Fitness Yeah I have a 5.0 mustang but considering adding a G for daily driver.
BarXWeight Fitness once you get a G you never look back G’s are amazing
Mine used to burn 5 quarts every 2000 miles but put new piston rings in and changed everything
So clean
Thank you.
Maybe they did the sequence in order to get into it when you already started from auto. I got a 2001 Nissan Skyline which is pretty much the same. It depends a lot on how you treat them. This one has been around for 130k km and it’s perfect.
The P Shifting sound is constantly going off how do I dismount it or stop it every time I get in the vehicle and out
Hi the g35 and 37 upshift when hits red line???
I have 1 withv190 thousand miles still runs perfect I love it as well
Nice Got 160,000 on mine now. Yeah they run good.
Mines got 284k miles run good fully loaded as well
Sounds dumb but is it safe to downshift in sport mode I’ve been doing it for the rumbling sound it lets 😬 out
I don't see why not. Thats the point of manual mode. You tell the car when to shift, its your choice.
When your radio and Ac control went out how did u fix it, cuz mine cuts in and out, like in the winter it works then going into spring the radio stop working but the Ac has a mind of its own
You either have to buy a new stock radio that doesn’t have that problem already or you have to buy an aftermarket radio either single din or double din
Relay, on the back of the fuze box at your feet while driving. They like to get too hot.
So this might be a silly question but it's a five-speed automatic right? I just bought a G35. So it's four speeds plus overdrive or 5 speeds if it's the same thing? I keep mine in automatic and I'm driving 80 on the highway and it's at 3000 RPMs. Does that sound right? Shouldn't it be lower I don't know how to do manual mode I'll have to try it but I was thinking four is fourth and drive is 5th? I think I'll have to mess around with the thing cuz I would think 80 mph would be lower than 3,000 RPMs.
Just for one my self same problem think it’s normal 5 months later
Can someone tell me what transmission i need i got the coupe 04?
When I drive my 03 g35 coupe and I down shift in manual mode it feels like the car slows down does that mean I’m down shifting to early?
Thats normal for a 6speed or manual mode
Nah your just using the engine to brake keep you foot on the pedal then downshift if you want to downshift like a manual
Does anybody know what “1m” does on a g35 sedan automatic ?
1m is first gear in manual mode
Yes this. In manual mode the gears are displayed in the instrument cluster as 1M, 2M, 3M, 4M, 5M.
Do you stop giving it gas when shifting or no?
Since I'm used to a clutch pedal, I might do it out of instinct. I think you would not have to because when you shift in auto mode you don't lift.
From what I’ve heard is that the manual shifting is made by oil pressure from the throttle, by not giving any throttle and shifting up it could go wrong in the tranny if you do that consistently but that’s only from what I’ve read on g35driver so take that with a grain of salt!!
@@6.4scat36 interesting
No don’t let go of the gas that’s what dual clutch transmissions are meant for faster shifting I got this one over a Manuel and I don’t regret it faster shifts
was it hard to replace the original readio unit for one with an aux ?
Not really man just do a lil reading, it’s a lot easier if you now how electrical shit works but u could easily find a video for it. I got mine for about 130$ aswell and it had Bluetooth and touch screen
I think he’s using a pioneer unit witch also has Bluetooth
Get a coupe manual if possible
I would love a Caribbean blue manual coupe without the spoiler, black interior.
so do i need to let off when shifting or no because i just got a 2003 g35x recently
No need to let off
@@yousufzahid6949 I dont know tho if I don’t let off I will get a ruff shift might be cvs tho
@@dirtbikedevon6949 Yeah could be
Bruh they made the sequential the wrong way
You are correct. It should be pull towards you to shift up. Unfortunately that's 2003 tech.
Yeah its a pretty stupid design, but also reversible if you don't mind modding. Was going to do it, but decided to go with paddle shifters instead.
@Zigarren König unfortunately I haven't installed them yet, still sitting in the box. But look for the works bell paddle shifter kit for v35.
@@StickShiftStudios had a 2018 Infiniti Q50 it’s exactly the same way shifter just sits to right instead of right. But up is up shift and down is down shift.
I've never driven one of these but this shifting looks absolutely terrible. You can't access every single gear easily when you can only just cycle through the gears one at a time.
Note that the car is from 2003. It's not perfect by any means. I would much prefer the G35 with the 6 speed manual transmission.
Its literally just a mode for the automatic so you can have a little more control. If you want access to every gear then buy a manual
What rpm should I shift at?
near redline
