Ken Owen was so essential to the Carcass vibe, it’s great to see he pays respect to Ken’s playing style. This song musically takes me to Symphonies of Sickness which is a big plus for me…I can’t wait to hear more. This shit smokes…

@@deathmetal7624 I’m aware. I bought “Symphonies” on vinyl back in the day when it was released. I also grew up in Tampa and was able to see a lot of killer DM bands from ‘88 - ‘94. What a helluva time it was.
This album is phenomenal it’s when musicians can truly write music everything is subtle but very complicated

@@lfmontag you guys need to learn the difference between underrated and being known. If someone is considered good or even among the best, he is definitely not underrated. He is rated as very good. that's that, plain and simple. Now one can be very highly rated but only by a handful of people because he isn't widly known. that makes him less known but NOT underrated. Now if he gets more known and only a handful of people still say he's good then that just means he most likely isn't that good. This last bit was added just for sake of completeness, not to comment/disrespect on this particular drummer even though I would list a ton of metal players above him in my personal ranking. But yeah, there is a lot of deadly competition in metal nowadays. In this drummers case, i'd say he is just not widly known because Carcass isn't really a band with overly flashy drums (not that i'd want that) but it's just not, let's say, modern drummer cover page material but actual drummers that listen to him usually would rate him as a solid and good player in most cases
if ever Dan is out for any reason get Alex Bent to fill in, dude’s a phenomenal drummer and from my neck of the woods originally, I can vouch for the skill set

Brilliant , Dan was the best choice BIll and Jeff could have ever made to fill the boots of Ken Owen . I met Bill Jeff and Ken a few times back around 91-92 . Always my favourite band I still listen to them but nothing after Necrotisism , that album is perfect was never into Heartwork , swansong . Surgical is a brilliant album really looking forward to what coming soon . Legends 🤘🏴
