KRIMH - Morbid Angel - Dawn Of The Angry

  • It is time for a Death Metal classic by the legendary band Morbid Angel. DAWN OF THE ANGRY was released on their DOMINATION album back in 1995.
Their style has influenced a lot of other bands. Sounds a bit like old Gojira? Now you know why. :)
Pete "Commando" Sandoval pushed extreme drumming to the next level. Without him, Death Metal drumming wouldn't be the same.
This video is a tribute to him and his brutal drumming!

This is WHY VERY FEW BANDS Play Morbid Angel covers !!
Morbid Angel, & Cannibal corpse in my opinion are very hard and technical to play LIVE !!
This Drummer no doubt has excellent technique but look how tired he got at the End, and that was only one song.
He looked beaten, and Grasping for Air at the End ! Pete Sandoval was really a Monster back in the 90's and early parr of 2000 s !!!

This is exactly why King Krimh is so damn great. Timing is tight…from the double bass to the fills and back again. You can tell a drummer is for real when they do a cover, but play every note as heard on the album. This guy’s been in some serious bands and still played it as written. That’s a fan of music

I like the fact that you performed the blast beats in this song with one foot instead of your usual two-foot blasts. It’s sign of cover done by a true professional when the drummer alters their comfortable style to emulate the style of the original drummers. Well done!

I was right in front of Rutan when they came to Pittsburgh in 1995 on the domination tour and they opened up with this song!!!! I’m here to tell you right now-- that was perfect!!!! I know every Morbid Angel song behind the drum kit from every album from the past 35 years-- and before I even have my own band practice with my own band--I play 10 to 15 MORBID ANGEL songs before we play our 15 original songs!!!! You did such an amazing job not only with your playing but with your sound and you played it exactly like Pete!!!! Great job my brother!!! I will pass this on to Trey, ERIK, STEVE AND SCOTTY!!!!! PETE-- He’s killing it with TERRORIZER!!!! And you are killing it with your drumming!!!!! keep up the great work!!!!

great take, what made this great was the division of the bass and blasts imo, it had groove in some weird fast death way, it wasn't just speed obviously, and man o man the subtle speed on the toms and upper cymbal (crest) hits... awesomeness

Eher durch Zufall Morbid Angel auf dem Wacken Open Air 2007 gesehen. Genau dieses Lied und Drumming hat mich damals weggehauen. Von daher kann ich dem Titel King of Blastbeats nur zustimmen.

Amazing Job! Always loved that track! These three count-ins to full power double-bass in the beginning are so iconic!

That "swiveling leg" approach to double bass and blasts is wild!! Great job, Krimh!

Easily one of my favorite OG death metal songs. Domination is a monumental album 🤘

And with just two drum pedals. No triple it, double bass......none of that. I guess going sideways like that is maybe the only way with just two. I've honestly never seen that. Mad props bro.......pat yourself on the back and do it with a golden drumstick cause that $hlt is epic. I wish I had a drummer like you when I was younger and played the local DFW circuit.

DUDE!!!! This is my all time favorite Morbid Angel song. So amped on this. I pulled a lot of inspiration from this album when writing the Deflorate BDM album. That and the Negation. ❤️

Catchiest opening riff in all of death metal. I can't believe I only discovered these guys 5-6 years ago. I was missing out big time. Best vocals ever in death metal, even slightly above my favorite Mr. Akerfeldt just because you can actually understand the lyrics.

Krimh you shred the drum kit all the time, does not really matter what kind of genere you are playing. You rule man! And thank you for this great cover. Domination was the very first Morbid Angel record that I owned and even now I still believe is a very strong great record in their discography.
