The fact that all of the Elector Counts don't start at war with Sylvania means that they don't consider it a rogue state. Lmao.
Technically, Vlad von Carstein probably has a more legitimate claim to not only his own county but the imperial throne itself than most of the other counts do 😂 he's also arguably more generous and fair to his subjects than some of the other Elector Counts, at least in lore. His successors, on the other hand...not so much.
Just like it was in the lore, Sylvania under Vampires still a part of the empire. Why would they be at war?

@@Isomeria450 the most notable are Konrad "kill people at random while hallucinating" von Carstein and Manfred "chronic backstabbing disorder" von Carstein. The former was such a mess that vampire society pretty much collapsed and only isolated enclaves like Neferata's Silver Pinnacle survived, and the latter not only arranged for Vlad to get killed but later did something so incredibly shortsighted that he's more or less directly responsible for the planet exploding during the End Times.
So yeah, they went from "reasonable authority figure with smelly friends" to "crazed butcher" to "literally blew up the world out of jealousy". Not the ideal trajectory for managerial competence, to put it lightly 😂

Any faction with artillary can steal artillary from an enemy army of the same race. Back in warhammer two, farming revolts was a viable strategy for certain factions in the very early game for both loot and the chance for early cannons or trebs or plagueclaws. You might not have seen it because you need an empty slot in your army, and is only something like 10% chance.
even worse i think it's 5% because there was a mod that buffed it to 10%, at the very least that was the case, no idea about buffs or nerfs
The main strat for empire as karl was sacking fort for free mortars, but CA in one patch delete mortars from level one fort so RIP
Your infantry men can also steal skin from enemy troops. Tear off their skin. Shed your own, their skin is better. Wear their skin.

as someone who was dissuaded from playing empire in warhammer 3 by the authority mechanic, not wanting to get into the negatives at all despite my playstyle pretty much being "forget diplomacy, conquer all", finding out that getting to -10 bascially resets your authority effects makes it a bit more attractive

can you imagine if festus was just a normal elector count? like if he is chaos but he has more loyalty to the empire for some reason. so he shows up to meetings and stuff to make treatys and discuss politics lol, and they all have to cover their noses so they dont die while discussing grain embargos or some shiz!

Now all I wish is an ability to have other races in the empire as Elector Count's if they are there and they just replace whoever they killed.
Just imagine a game where Festus, One-Eye, any Skaven Faction, Dwarves and Cathay were all part of the elector counts with Karl Franz as the emperor. Soooooo much chaos but so fun.

Stealing artillery is a mechanic for all factions. You just need to fight the same race as yours, have empty space in your army and an artillery piece in theirs to steal.

Do other people notice that the Elector Count Screen is broken? I'm pretty sure it's been broken since release, it's gone through a few different stages and various issues, but it's still broken...

For anyone who doesnt realize, just look at the south of the Empire, Solland isnt coloured in, only one of the 3 regions in Wissenland is coloured in, the Minor Settlement in Averland is also not coloured in, and niether is the southmost Vampire Count Settlement, pretty sure it's schwatzefan.
I really hope they at least fix it in the next DLC, which includes Empire, I think it'd be weird not to have it fixed after that.

24:00 that's been my experience. Every time I enter empire territory it's half vampire, 25% Nurgle, 25% Northmen or orcs, and *maybe* Karl Franz barely holding on in Ubersreik. The Empire is very doomed.

27:50 yeah it was happening a lot with Ghorst because it had bonuses in his skill tree for that.
However it got nerfed a lot (base chance nerfed, increased chance due to corruption nerfed, increased chance via tech tree nerfed, and from skill tree nerfed as well). Both chance of ressurection and HP of ressurected troops btw.
So even with all the maximum buffs possible to ressurection, getting back more than 50% of an army is very rare, and is now decently beaten up (tho if they get resplenishment and then raise dead they can fix and patch up their losibg armies with trash to keep pressure on.

the reason that gelts army routed despite them still having a lot of usable units is do to how the game calculates army losses, because you did a lot of damage without many of your units being damaged, army losses kicked in sooner than if you had done a pitched battle, where both sides ran at each other.
the artillery captured part is not an empire mechanic, any race with artillery can have it happen, however there are some rules, if i remember correctly, at least one cannon must survive(the actual gun, not the unit) so if you trying to get a piece of artillery, it's best to use calvery to kill the units manning the guns, second you must have a free slot in your army, and third it must be a battle with the same race as yours. Lastly, its around a 5-10% chance for it to occur, so i would not count on it happening to reinforce your army, unless you are going out of your way to farm it, such as letting the units manning the guns flee and not finishing the army to allow you to try and get multiple chances.

storm of the night 34.40 is a bound spell with three uses (no winds of magic required) that i think vlad can have aswell as isabella in their skill tree. it can only hit units in the air so i think big brain move is to land with Franz and fight on the ground.

When you're surrounded by enemies, both potential and actual, it's best to be thorough when it comes to unifying the Empire. And by "thorough" I mean become Canadian and turn the Geneva Convention into a checklist.
