What monitors are you looking at this Black Friday? Let me know!
Hey bro, this didn’t work for me, i use an intel card and my pc has only a vga port.
Same, didnt work for me either. I can see the second monitor box, but it wont let me check it.
@@stevenlogue794 did you fix it? I cant check the second box either
I’m legit about to kill NVDIA Giving me so many problems since I got it then actually helping smh, since I’m not familiar with pc it’s been more of a problem then helpful tbh, but thanks for the video it did help
no way it was just as simple as one not being checked! thank you so much it was so frustrating
for those having issues "detecting" their 2nd montior AND are using the hdmi port from their mother board on the 2nd monitor: Check to see if your CPU supports integrated graphics, if so load up your BIOS boot window. I use an AMD GPU with an intel CPU and i went up to the "search" feature and typed in "Display" or "Monitor" to show an option to enable multple display setting. After I did that I could finally detect my 2nd monitor and begin the process of setting it up.
Hope it helps since it took me like 1 hr to figure this out and thank you for the video
For me none of this worked, my graphics driver was updated already, I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, performing a roll back of the Nvidia driver to a previous stable version. Stopped and started the Nvidia processes in the services app, tried all the hacks I possibly could in the display settings section, none worked. I remembered that recently I had turned the "Intel Virtual Technology" feature ON from the BIOS settings for a software I wanted to use, so I turned it back OFF, and my second monitor immediately came back on. That was it. For any other folks who might have the same problem.
How did you do it? I tried switching it off from the BIOS but I couldn't find it! 😕
@@gianlucaoliveri5477Hold the shift key while restarting the device from the windows tab, and it will take you to a blue screen titled ‘Choose an option’, click troubleshoot, advanced options, then click on UEFI firmware settings and click the restart button. After the computer restarts, it should take you there
@@user-mx9kh4im1swhat does this do?
I had my crg9 49 inch working fine on surface pro 8 I moved to an all in one pc hp with 4k and I get a monitor undetected I tried using wireless display adapter vs hdmi and it works but lacks 4k recognition so I get a middle picture but unable to get full extend screen any ideas
Thank u my brother I own u
I tried everything all day and find your comment ty brotherrrr❤❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have had this probelm for almost a year and not even the geek squad/tech support could help me. I really apreicate this.
Thanks a lot!!!!! Your video was a savior! I was troubleshooting since a few days and nothing helped (checked connections, updated drivers etc) , UNTIL I TRIED YOUR RECOMMENDATION!! Thanks a lot for taking out time to share about checking NVIDIA settings! None of the google searches mentioned looking into that, but that’s what helped me in my case!
Thank you so much. I was searching for solution for hours and I was so frustrated and nearly bought a new monitor. Your video was my last hope and it fixed my problem.
You've saved me trouble. I greatly appreciate you!
Thank you so much. I cant belive it was so simple... now i have to return 3 adapters and 2 new cables
Thanks, you solved my monitor problem. Nice work.
Thank you so so much. I tried everything, thought it was a hardware issue. Computer company couldn’t even tell me what was going on. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much! This actually helped me!
i spent 2 hs plugging and unplugging cables, i was getting so frustrated and you saved my life. Thank you man!!
ok this might be a stupid question do you have to have a cable hooked up from one tower to another to show 2 displays because i want to use 1 mouse for 2 monitors. and what about using 1 keyboard for 2 monitors mine are both alienware pc and keyboard one is a r12 and other is r15
My windows display was why I was having this issue. My Nviaida setting were solid and I was hella confused. The first step you did worked. Thanks!
Thanks so much man this solved my problem. I really appreciate your help.
THANK YOU SO MUCH UR A LIFE SAVER I THOUGHT MY MONITER WAS OUT THANK YOU!
I went through hours of completely random solutions with bo real logic and this fixed it in minutes bro bless
What if it doesnt let you check the box off
Thank you! Your video helped me set up a second ASUS monitor on my laptop.
Thank you so much for the help man!!!!! I was trying to troubleshoot this for days...
Dude thanks so much for this video!! This was driving me insane
I just bought a new HP laptop and per the MS support, if I'm trying to use a display splitter extend display to more than one external monitor, you won't be able to. The splitter is duplicating the same original signal instead of creating two independent signals. My laptop only has one video output port, which by default only supports a single external monitor. I need to support one more monitor by using the splitter, but again it won't work :-(. I also bought a new splitter, again didn't work. Do you suggest I need an USB to video output splitter? This is extremely frustrating. Thanks in advance!
Dude this fixed an issue I had had for months. Finally gave up, but glad I found this video on a whim!
thank you sire
you are a gentleman and a scholar
This fixed my problem. Thank you!!
Great to hear!
holy crap thanks man, took me weeks to figure this out
Wow such an easy fix, I LOVE YOU BRO!
Hi, Great fix. Thanks for your effort. However i have AMD Radeon card and didnt find the extra monitor listed in AMD Radeon card settings. If possible a solution will be great. Thanks
Did you find out a solution. I have the same issue

Me too!
thank you for this so much man, saved me so much time
Thx u soooo much dude!!! I finally got it fixed!!!!!
For those who can’t select their second monitor in nvidia, I fixed that issue by going into my settings-Bluetooth & devices-devices, and deleted my second monitor from my devices. I then went back to my display setting and hit detect which actually detected my monitor, and finally I was able to select the monitor in nvidia.
theres no display dropdown in my nvidia settings. only 3d settings and video. Any advice?
same here
Thanks so much perfect explaination
i click the check button on the window in nvidia control panel and it just wont check for some reason
fixed it, unplugged the plug from the monitor and restarted my display drivers by hitting the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B and then replugged my monitor and then restarted my display drivers again. Hopefully this works for some people as well
Thank you so much! That was our Problem and we could not find it.
Hello, thank you for sharing. i got to the point when i have to check the box for my 2d monitor but it wont let me activate the box... I clic over it and it does not check... help please

thank you so much!! Fixed my issue!
@lapfix it is not letting me check the other monitor under the NVIDIA Control panel, all I can do is highlight it.
Thank you so much I unplugged my tv from my pc and my second monitor just suddenly stopped working even though it was working fine. Such a simple solution thank you! saved hours of time
Hi @lapfix! I see the option, but for some reason, it is not letting me check (click on) the box for the second monitor. Is anyone else running into this issue? How can I troubleshoot this? I've tried restarting my PC and unplugging and replugging already
same problem , did u find a fix?
u find a fix I'm having same issue

Finally I was able to fix this problem
Just :

Thank u so much bro i cant thank u enough man! ❤ it finally works again
At 2:40, I can't click on the second screen. One of them is already selected, but the second one, even though it appears with a blank box and looks like it can be selected, I click on it and nothing happens. Help.
Have you been able to fix it? I have exactly this issue.
i spent a total of 4 years tryna get 2 monitors hooked up, trying all diff cords and adapters, this INSTANTLY fixed it LOL im so sad, tysm tho!
what a legend! i had a similar issue, but instead of NVIDIA panel, i had to install Intel Command Center and enable the external screen there. all my issues happened after enabling HDR by mistake. lost 4 hours until i saw this video!
what did you tell control panel to get it to work
man i spent so long trying to fix this and this comment was exactly it weird that enabling her causes that
Thank you for this, took me an hour and I couldn't figure it out
How to solve it with Intel HD 530 graphics? Does it have similar settings? (tryna setup for my office PC)
thanks so much man this helped alot like fr.
Thanks man! I appreciate you
Thank you so much just saved me a monitor
I have this problem where both NVIDIA control panel and display settings only detects the second monitor but shows a duplicate screen on both monitors. I think it could be due to the fact that I have an HDMI splitter and my pc only has one HDMI port.
Did you fix it
did u find a way to fix it bro ive been struggling with the same exact thing and i need a solution asap bruh
An HDMI splitter will send the same video signal to both monitors. Therefore, you will not be able to extend the displays using an HDMI splitter, if that is what you are attempting to do.
I hope u can reply to this but its not showing my second monitor in nvidia control panel but it shows up in windows
same think here
LEGEND is right! Easy and perfect fix!!! Thank you.
simple and right to the point thanks man!
this is literally nowhere to simple and to the point. Half of the video is complete waste of time

Thank you so much🎉
you saved me ,, much thanks dude ...!!!
I have a question, how do I do it with an RX 6650, since the same thing happens, but they don't have the same Software
Was hoping this would solve mine but didnt. I used dual monitors for about a week and the second stopped working. Fought for months trying to fix it and decided to factory reset and return the pc. After factory restore it started working again, for again one week then stopped again. It is obviously an incompatible driver or update somewhere but I cant figure it out.
Thanks man a lot nice easy fix thanks man.
THANK YOU BROTHER !
Thanks it worked. so what was the problem tho? why did my monitor stopped working?
Thank you very much :D
Thank you so much!
You're amazing! thank you!!!!!
I’m having an issue where both monitors are working, but the second one isn’t being detected at all, but both monitors are on and mirrored. In my display settings, there isn’t even the option to choose which screen is 1 and which one is 2
Edit: when I looked at my nvidia control panel, it shows only 1 monitor. Could I be using the wrong type of HDMI splitter? What should I be using?
Did u solve this problem ? I have the same dunno what to do
THANK YOU
thank you bro life saver!!
so basically i have a monitor plugged in but when i go to the display settings it doesnt even give me options. Can you help me fix that?
So I go to nividia and it only has one monitor there, no other unchecked boxed. Everythings plugged in correctly so a bit lost. Updated driver, unplugged replugged etc, nothing.
thank you , only one every worked
main monitor which is an MSI monitor isnt being detected for some reason, black screen doesnt even boot. Im using display port which I replaced but still nothing. PC is booting and loading fine on my 2nd monitor though? Need help[
Same here!
I don’t have an MSI monitor though.
Thank you!
my nvidia control panel doesnt detect it at all and the monitor does nothing when i plug it in but i know it works because it was my main monitoe for a while. Could the issue be my pc video ports. I only have 1 hdm1 and that next the the power cable and the other hdm1 is at the very top of the tower and thats where my second monitors plugged in. I cant figure this out at all.
did you figure it out??
same issue !
It seems that your computer has both an integrated graphics card and a separate graphics card. Windows will typically only use your separate graphics card and if your NVIDIA graphics card has only one HDMI port, then it can be difficult to connect more than one monitor to your system.
If you are not interested in extending your display, where you can have different content on each monitor, then you can use a HDMI splitter. This will duplicate both displays, in that you will see the exact same content on both monitors.
However, if you want to extend the displays, you can use the Thunderbolt port of your computer if it has one to connect to the second monitor. Another option is to use a USB to HDMI adapter to connect your second monitor.
ur video seemed very usefull but when i pull up that menu there not an option in there to mess with display settings, i know the monitor works because i but a new 1 and now only the new 1 will connect no matter what i do this is very frustrating
bro i love you i hope that you have a grate day
This is my problem:
I have a new monitor, a Asus Tuf gaming 27". This monitor works fine with several laptops, desktops and games consoles.
I also have an older Asus laptop with dual gpu's. I can connect it via hdmi to several different monitors, both old and brand new, and it works fine.
But here comes the problem: this old asus laptop does not work with my new asus monitor, as if they're not compatible with each other. I dont get it.
What could be the problem?
There is no fault in the cables or drivers or gpu's, as far as I know, since both the new monitor and the old laptop works fine in several different set ups, just not together.
Here in 2024 this Still Works Confirmed ✅ thanks you
