This kind of funding is only allocated to people who run organisations whos main purpose is to fight disadvantage and poor outcomes caused by the general public discriminating against and vilifying Aboriginal-Australian’s. this sort of funding wouldn’t be neccasry if the general public stopped marginalising them and oppressing them by way of lack of opportunity or a fair go. So when someone says why do they get so many hand out’s you can tell them because without it they face a country that treats them like they don’t deserve a job or a decent life. When you make up 4% of the country, you only ever interact with sound 30% or that population max. I mean is it any wonder why there sis much racism towards them when people spend their whole lives not having any interaction with Aboriginal-Australian’s ?

If he was born in the 1920's he would not have been able to vote for 40 years. If he was caught drinking alcohol he would have been locked up. He or his parents may have worked on a sheep or cattle station for no wages, being paid in basic food. If he was living on the outskirts of any country town his abode would have likely been a sheet of tin in a creek bed, and he would not have been allowed in town after dark. If he was in a remote area living in the traditional way and killed a sheep through necessity he would have likely hunted down and killed himself. If he was caught he would have been conveyed in neck chains to prison. He would have to accept the fact that he was generally despised by the wider population to a far greater extent than the most pathetic migrant to what was once his country. Your friend must have been a wonderful example of forgiveness. Perhaps his decedents need a Yes vote?

By the way, look up "aboriginal" in a dictionary and it says "indigenous". Look up "indigenous" and it says, "born in or natural to a country". That means everybody who was born in Australia is an Australian aboriginal.

There is a big difference between being PREDOMINANTLY aboriginal, living as a traditional aboriginal did, and having some vague or tenuous link to being "aboriginal". The most recent definition of aboriginal is completely absurd and would, over a century or two ensure that every single person in Australia would be potentially classifiable as aboriginal.

when anthony albanese pledged an oath/affirmation on the kings coronation he then proved that in 2022 that there was no lawful constitutional elections within australia and thus every single member of parliament is in fact impersonating a commonwealth government when they are not commonwealth officials
the king of the united kingdom based on magna carta and the constitution of this nation was there required to refuse his oath due to the fact anthony albanese was impersonating a commonwealth official and david hurly was impersonating a governor general
so the whole voice referendum has no legitimacy - as there is no commonwealth official at all to hold a referendum let alone change the constitution in any way
the whole of the media is currently promoting legitimacy to this referendum - cause there is no yes or no vote that is valid - this means every single media station in this country is promoting sedition and treason
gough whitlam in 1973 created a false fraud entity of queen of australia and deviation of the oath/affirmation has been done from the constitution - they have no rights to deviate - the parliament also through treason declared themselves sovereign which is a complete utter joke and shows how mentally retarded they are - Bob Hawk was not the prime minister to australia as he did not pledge the oath/affirmation and he bestowed the australia act 1986 without referendum thus committing high treason and this corrupted the civilization so much that a lawful election cannot be held including the 2022 election which had no validity
If you want to cancel all debts in australia, retain your land rights, you also get to retain your bill of rights within magna carta and have a government that is underneath the people meaning the people are the absolute authority over the government, truly having our civilization back lawfully - then research what i am stating cause every single member in parliament is not lawful and many of them are in major sedition and treason - right now you are witnessing a fraud called anthony albanese with self declared communist trying to bestow a referendum outside all law within treason to wipe out this nations constitution and also destroy the sovereignty of all people living in the country including aboriginal people - right now under true constition all of us we the people are sovereign
also forget the term sovereign citizen - cause the term is nonsensical - a citizen is a municipal servant of the state, sovereign is without ruler only bowing down to god if they believe in god and the state is not above them - we are living beings and a government is created by living beings to serve living beings - right now you are witnessing those violating the government and nation for their own power lusts and they care nothing about anyones future - research what i state and save a future for yourselves and your future generations - our anzacs fought and sacrificed their lives for our freedoms and constitutional rights

Ancestry is just a cover for the real issues - assuring their own failure by living off taxpayers instead of getting a job and contributing to society. But that would mean getting off the lounge - why work when it's easier to leech off others? If it wasn't a con job, wouldn't the billions paid out every year have improved, rather than stifled, Indigenous lives? Saying NO to Voice as well as NO to any constitutional change would help turn lives around, especially when all extra benefits are firmly put aside

I find it amazing that some find this to be news!
It has been so obvious for so long that there are many who have sought to profit by claiming to be of Australian Aboriginal heritage, just as it has been obvious that there are those making false claims along these lines. To me it is just inconceivable that one should be either advantaged, or disadvantaged by any racial attribute, however, here we are, trying to embed racial differentiation of Australians, within our constitutional framework!
The voice to Parliament "Yes"campaign is the most divisive initiative I have ever witnessed and the dumbest thing I have ever seen our politicians propose. It is racist in the extreme and places the vast majority of Australians on the democratic margins.
If we hold the idea of a democratic and egalitarian Australian political system to be an objective of our democracy. We must see that this proposal makes no advances towards that ideal, however, it does advance the notion that we should be divided by racial and cultural types.
Can anyone explain rationally to me why there should not also be Anglo, Chinese, Indonesian, Russian, Italian, Greek, Vietnamese voices to parliament as well?
We are either a unified democracy or not. Either unity is an objective of our political processes, or it isn't.
I am very tired of sitting quietly, whilst someone reads a welcome to country to me, as though I may not be welcome in my country, except by the say so of someone else, of a specific racial type.
To continue along this path of racial division will only bring civil unrest and ever increasing disunity to Australian society. It will not heal anything and will tear open old wounds.
It is obvious that disunity is already an outcome of this debate.
Stop this insanity now, before it is too late!
