They could still potentially do it, even with the ending. Just kick ass/Dave and Hit Girl/Mindy reconnecting after several years after her traveling all over and him having years of combat training. The final scene of him doing the one handed pull ups always impressed the hell out of me bc those are extremely difficult

AeroRomeo Turning KA3 a bit into a Hit-Girl-centric story? Hmm, interesting idea, but I'm not sure that the director will change the arc's path like that. So far the movies have been mostly about Kick-Ass's acension to true heroism. If Hit-Girl's story is done, it'll probably be beside Kick-Ass's as a subplot, like Mindy's high school story was in KA2.
Do you think your idea would work better while Hit-Girl is gone or while she's back? I'm thinking it would work better to have her change while she's gone, and Kick-Ass deals with the aftermath when she returns a new woman (and yes, a woman, because I theorize KA3 will happen a few years later).

I just want to see the end of Dave's story. I want to see him wearing his new costume/armor and being a badass. I want to see Justice Forever again, and I want to hear this amazingly beautiful main theme, one last time.

This is my favorite scene from the whole movie!
If they ever do make a Kick-Ass 3, then here's how I think it will go down.
- The movie will open with a four year timeskip, where Dave is just about to finish college. Like the comic, he and Justice Forever will be moonlighting hero work.
- Chris will first be in a mental asylum undergoing rehab for his prostetic legs.
- Ralph D'Amico takes over as the main antagonist for the film, bailing Chris out so he can educate him in following the family business one day. Like in the comics, he plans to unite all the mafias of the eastern seaboard.
- The Hit-Girl subplot will focus on Mindy traveling across the country, taking down numerus crime syndicates. Upon learning of Ralph D'Amico's plan, she returns to New York where Vic Gigante and Marcus lead a task force to hunt her down.
- Like in the comics, Gigante and a few corrupt cops secretly steal from from Uncle Ralph, pinning the blame on Justice Forever.
- Dave learns that Todd was the one who told the Motherfucker about his dad, which lead to his death. Their friendship strained, Dave walks out on him despite Todd's plea for forgiveness.
- Marcus confronts Mindy and instead of arresting her, he learns that in the end this is who she is and knows he can't stop her. Before he could let her go, his squadron is revealed to have been working for Uncle Ralph and fire at him. Mindy helps him escape but is caught.
After that, I think everything else will play out like in the comic version. Either way, I hope the give Kick-Ass 3 the green light.

Dave knows same thing of Big Daddy got killed because he didn't know Red Mist is the real bad guy and son of crime boss. Besides Todd didn't they are real villains as he thought they are other team for superheroes.

Man I kinda wanted a Kick Ass 3. The second movie was almost like an origin story for him to fully embrace being a Super Hero. I wanted to see Dave finally become a full on badass with all that build up in these movies. Like in the third movie he could actually handle shit by himself.

They need to get a better director for the next one. This was nowhere near as good as the first film which is in my opinion one of the best superhero films out there.
Couldn't agree more, this director couldn't tell a coherent story to save his life.

I don't get what the big deal is. If she was 18 and he was 30, no one would bat an eyelash (in movie or out).
I felt that this is what the movie was leading towards; a blossoming 'romance' of sorts between the Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass, the complications of which could be explored in a third installment.
The way I see a third movie.
It's several years later. Kick-Ass gets into trouble with a recently released mob boss (you remember Uncle D'Amico, right?), and Hit-Girl comes back to rescue him. Having denied the 'normal' life that was offered, she's turned into a cold, unforgiving killer, a misfit of society that can no longer function unless her agenda involves killing people (I'm thinking a mindset similar to that of Rorschach from Watchmen).
At first, Kick-Ass is alright with this; he's accepted violence as being a necessary means. But when Hit-Girl starts to show she cares less about what's good for society, and more about violence itself, Kick-Ass starts to have second thoughts.
But isn't it his fault, her violent nature? After all, he's the one that encouraged her, told her that 'this is who and what you are; don't deny it'.
Having been the only guy who ever accepted her for who and what she is, I think blossoming romance is only natural.
The things that could be explored in such a movie, the connections you could make. Her unwillingness to let go the death of her father, her inability to deal with things rationally (look what she did to kids that play PRANKS on her for Christ sakes!), and her inability (and unwillingness) to pursue a 'normal' life; All of this leading back to her upbringing (which I always felt was a key component of the movies).
I would have been endlessly disappointed if the movie had ended any other way ~
You should write the third film. Those are some awesome ideas, and make a lot of sense.

i see it as more of a trust thing , Hit-girl will never have a normal life , Mindy had a moment of realization and was curious about her instincts , and Dave is the only one she will ever truly trust to leave something as important as a first kiss to

Both of these movies are great but the ending to the second one was great and how Dave is a full on badass

Kick-Ass 3 should be happening right now, though, even though, Chloe Grace-Moretz wont return as Hit-Girl. What I hated about this film was that Dave and Katie never saw each other again after that bitter scene where she dumps him. We never saw her again after that and it still brings me to how better their chemistry was in the first film.
Which is why I`m doing recent editing on IMDB for a REBOOT of Kick-Ass but changing it into Kick-Ass 3 and scheduling a release date for 21st of January, 2021.
