Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová addresses Parliament

This will be the first time a head of state from an EU country neighbouring Ukraine speaks in the Parliament since the start of Russia’s aggression.
The Slovak president is expected to ask for EU unity and solidarity in times of crisis and call for European values to be respected.
Čaputová became the youngest and first female president of Slovakia in June 2019. She previously worked as a public interest lawyer and an environmental activist.
