Very informative video as usual Crank. However, about sealed transmission. It is actually called "planned obsolescence" where manufacturers deceive buyers to shorten the life span of the item to improve sales of newer ones. So, when they say transmission fluid needs no change, you get the gist when it is used beyond the warranty period? Meaning you bear the cost of replacing the transmission out of your pocket. Why do you think many used cars imported in Nigeria are plagued with transmission issues? In fact, many renowned car tech youtubers (Scotty Kilmer, AMD, etc) have suggested it is best to leave the fluid alone if it has not be changed before hitting the 100k miles and above because changing it then definitely means flushing out all the worn clutch materials which results in slipping and rough shifting afterwards. So, vehicle dealerships, mechanics and DIYers suggest that you change the transmission fluid latest every 60k miles and the process is not as simple in a sealed transmissions as with the dip stick ones but it is doable still. Plenty of videos on CZcams on how to do that for different car brands and models. However, for us here in Naija, the prayer on importing a used car would be that due diligence was done by the previous owner or be sure to import cars with known service history! Thanks again Crank. I am a huge fan! 👍
