    I love your videos and I am a keen follower and a big Volvo fan, the XC90 is quite a good SUV but Nigerian used is a disaster. Also once you buy a Volvo car in Nigeria you must tropicalise it by installing a high capacity Volvo relay to the cooling fan and also eliminating the fan thermostat.

      Hmmmmm good insight!

    • @amandionuba8344
      @amandionuba8344 Před 2 lety +2

      Removing thermostat from an engine is not a great idea (except you are creating your own engine).
      You started redesigning with relay of high capacity, you should also look for thermostat with different temperature set point (higher/lower depending on what you hope to achieve).
      In all, endeavor to know, from OEM design view, the implication of whatever changes has on the engine.

    • @davidolaleke3829
      @davidolaleke3829 Před 2 lety

      @@amandionuba8344 you have spoken well sir, I am a automobile mechanic but the high capacity thermostat is not available any where in Nigeria and also the thermostat for Volvo cars are designed to work with the brain box, so even a higher capacity one won't work effectively since it's not a factory plan for the car. That's the secret to using new model Volvo cars in tropical Africa (hot temperatures). Meanwhile the high capacity relays are the ones used by Volvo trucks and works perfectly with the cooling fan with two speeds low and high regulated.

    This year will be the best year to find a car since 2020 in the West and that time starts from this month end.
    Inventories are surging, people are checking out of car loans and returning that cars back in to purchase in cash what they can afford to totally own
    People in Nigeria would have benefited from this but exchange rates aren’t in their favour
    So what’s going on is there are many good and healthy car options pushed into the Nigerian market but at unavoidably high prices

    First of all Mr Crank I really appreciate the stress
    and effort u went to make research n put together this list and adding to that even more
    The Volvo XC90 has one other problem for concern broken timing belts which can be be nightmare like in the Camry
    The Mazda XC - 90 or as like to call it rebaged ford edge, shares power train n drive train with the ford edge n like u say that water pump that is located inside the engine block n driven but the chain na wahala oooo especially if u keep running the engine with water ( caused by leaks) so any one buying it should know it's also a ford edge same joy same wahala.
    Honda CRV n acura MDX electrical problem especially on the gearbox side u might just be driving along n the car jumps out of gear n jumps back in wen it likes a rewire can take care of dat so it not really a call for concern for me

    👍🏾 Very good list. I would rate it the same in US for the same reasons. Though the BMW I wouldn’t even buy Tokumbo unless I was the mechanic and had bank. But in that case might as well buy a new one.
