Unfortunately, when you marry, sometimes you have to leave some people behind because there can only be 2 people in a marriage. Another comment mentioned that more than likely, Tonya will leave and Tom, newly single and wanting a relationship, will find out that Amanda just wanted to be a "Best Friend" not a partner. I hope it doesn't get that far, but ... I've been in similar situations or watched this from afar. People seem to go out of their way to complicate their lives.
