So true. I am still in the USA but at 73 researching my alternatives. Have had it. And I hear and read so many--- still ignorant to think we are the greatest- maybe the US is the most arrogant but not great. Mass shootings, elementary school kids murdered for no reason, cost of living, lousy and expensive healthcare that has been an issue for decades, politics that has reached an all time propaganda machine, and so much crap in our food that no wonder everyone is obese, diabetic and has to take Rx that can cost $21,000 per injection. As you can tell, I am very frustrated and need a better quality of life. Lived in Spain and trying to decide between Spain or mexico- (Spain taxes my pensions) etc. but feels safer. Just to add: went to US local ER and was diagnosed for a sprain and possible fracture of the wrist. Got worse -went to an orthopedic: his diagnosis: 2 breaks and a fracture! Can my life threatening illnesses survive this as I age? Hell no. Feels like life or death living in the US.

he brings some valid points which i agree, but I must say some of them seem like personal annoyances like the Mexico city one, not having ac and the noise. You should expect that from a major city, as well they don't have ac because the temperature is pretty nice most of the year around 15-25 degrees celsius.
On food, just don't eat at dodgy establishments and you wont get food poisoning, but tbh it just sounded like your immune system is weak in that case. Just use common sense, like don't eat seafood dishes in the centre of the country since it wont be fresh.

Guys, if you’re a tourist in Mexico don’t forget to wash your hands. Since many street food and food in general is eaten with the hands we Mexicans carry around anti-bacterial gel in our pocket and use it if there isn’t a bathroom around to wash our hands. I’m appalled at how tourists go to the taco stand and hold their taco with dirty hands. I get that tourists are excited to try everything and often forget the most basic things, but if you’ve been on the metro touching the poles, at the park touching stuff, at the beach, anywhere, WASH OR CLEAN YOUR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR FOOD! Most tourist get Moctezuma revenge because they eat with dirty hands
