I live here, by Old National. I was able to get a house here and I cried because it was so quiet the first night, such a relief from living in a noisy, crowded and dark apartment. College Park changed my life.
Yes. I’m living in the city now and I hate it. It’s too expensive and crowded. I love College Park because like you said it’s quiet m, it’s beautiful, the food is great and you can relax…And it’s affordable!
I wouldn't mind moving there
Also the great thing about college park is it has the Marta where you can go straight to downtown without having to drive for games at the stadium and you can take the train to the airport!
I lived down from Bill Barrett Park for over 50 years; I loved my life in College Park. Of course, times have changed.
Was this in the winter? The trees are bare.. I picture Georgia as very lush & green.

My mother grew up here and a portion of my childhood/ teenage years was spent growing up here as well! Interesting fact, Historic College Park was predominantly "White" when my mother was young. She often spoke about the race riots taking place daily, especially when she was in high school. It was her dream to own a home here and she did it!! We were right over on West Mercer Ave. 2 streets over from that park!! And y0u're right, the park didn't look like this back then. Everything old is new again... I LOVE it!!
Now I understand how proud my mother must have felt. Thanks again for your videos, especially this one, as it stirred up some nostalgic, yet happy emotions in me...💝💝💝🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I'm in Portland Oregon and I'm thinking of moving to this little town but where are all the people I've never seen such empty streets. Some wondering what time of day did you take this and what day of the week. Or do people just not walk a lot in Georgia. Because people are big walkers in Portland so I'm just trying to get my eyes on the community and see where everybody is. Thank you so much for this video I really appreciate it

Me too. I have never heard anything good about College Park. I'm also surprised at the cost of these houses, especially the last one for that price on a run down street.
Highest crime rate in Georgia
I moved to College Park over 10 yrs ago and have nothing bad to say about it. I used to travel a lot and the proximity to the airport is about 15 min and downtown Atlanta about 15 min. My neighbors are the best and the homes are well maintained and beautiful! When a neighborhood is all Black people want to disparage and undervalue it. You can move to Sandy Springs but I love College Park!

There is literally NOTHING on East Point which is near College Point. What's your thoughts on this city? I see some good homes available there but can't seem to find info on the city.
It’s pretty much similar to Historic College Park Ga. I’d say the only difference is the homes a little cheaper. Regarding demographics I’d tell you to compare college park numbers to east point numbers using city-data.com

It’s a toss up in all honesty. It’s right off old national. It all depends on what feeling you’re looking for and what is important to you.
