In college park ????? Nearly 200k ????
Hell no !! Got a house at 900sf in Cartersville for $115k with 3/4 acre lot, much better deal and affordable !!!! And SAFE
This is great news, proud of this!
I'm looking to build something like this in central Georgia.

I'd say $180k would be super high for a tiny home under 1,000 sq ft, but Atlanta, College Park, East Point and Hapeville all have lots of homes under 1000 sq ft. And they aren't selling under $200k. Much less with a dog park and a community garden
Agreed! I couldn’t believe that price tag unless these are multi-bedroom, fully furnished units it doesn’t make sense
The tiny homes in Clarkston sold for almost 300,000.
@@utterbullspitdamn

This is wonderful. We need more of this, especially with this representation.

Atlanta is always ahead of most of the country with new innovative ideas such as this.
Lmaoooooooooooooooo
California & New York are historical for spearheading innovation in the U.S.
When? Atlanta had surpassed them but don't get the recognition because it is populated by a lot of African Americans. 💕💕💕💕
Really inspiring and amazing story! Congratulations to Mr. Washington and to the new homeowners. Kudos to Ms. Kimbro for making this vision a reality. Really well done
I would love to do this in my community. ❤️
Then you have to worry about mentally ill, &/or violent self loathing Colorist black people who need therapy coming in & threatening your new black community
My community could certainly benefit from houses like this. We definitely also need senior housings.
Do it.
This is fantastic. Definitely jumping in on the next project

Hopefully, this vision is for OUR Black people 1st. We need this unity and focus on meeting our needs in building generational wealth and equity! As we grow, we may consider extending our community in housing development, but for now, we must be the ones to OWN.🛠 📐🏠🏠🏠🏠It's okay for Us to take priority in making home ownership accessible. Not affordable at all (180,000-230,000) ?
I am looking to retire, I would prefer a lower price. I hope more communities will be available in other states in the near future.
I wish I could have bought one before they sold out.
I wish someone would build this kind of community with container homes. They can hold up to wear and tear way longer than lumber. Part of homeowner is home maintenance. Getting the house is only the beginning. Can you keep it maintained is the next issue.
This is Awesome. Now this is what I call Affordable homes. When you build Affordable home for people to own; long lasting safe communities are built as well.

Such diversity.
It always confused me why white people are so bothered that black people decided to bend together and build their own community? Like is that a problem for you?
@@ashtongreen6270 So you agree that there can be a white only community with white only drinking fountains. That is only fair, right? $190,000 for 335 sq. ft.?
You won’t pack me in a sardine can and you live in a mansion
I don't get this. Why is this a good thing?
Well why is it bad? They’re not saying it’s Black-only. But what’s wrong with voluntarily building a small community? Many other ethnic/racial groups do the same thing (Chinatown, Little Italy, Koreatown, Little Jamaica, etc.)
@Matthew Grant I thought diversity was a strength? As far as I've been able to find, it is black only. Segregationists used to be disliked.
Additionally, from a financial perspective, it's doomed to fail. Artificially lowered prices will harm the community and upkeep.
I don't see anything good about this. In the end, it will likely be heavily subsidized by outside tax payers or rotted from the inside out. I wouldn't even be happy to be wrong. If it thrives, that just means segregation was somehow a good thing. Both are disgusting outcomes.
Can you provide any reasons to support this?
@@joshuakelly9390 Diversity can be a wonderful thing, but not if it’s forced. Voluntary separation is preferable to avoid conflict sometimes. There’s a lot to appreciate about the US being a melting pot, but many Americans already live in neighborhoods that are segregated. One could argue it’s a case of wealth or income, but that’s the reality, maybe more so in inner cities. It’s the same with schools.
It’s not Black only, it’s Black-OWNED developers. They cannot (under the Fair Housing Act) discriminate based on race. I don’t see anything divisive about it other than people wanting to pool resources, invest, and have a small community amongst themselves. All the homes have already been sold out (with one celebrity buying a home as an investment property) and they’re continuing to build. I honestly hope they’re successful. That’s the one great thing about this country, you’re free to take certain risks.
If certain groups such as Asians and Jews can form their own communities and hire their own people, why can’t anyone else?
@@mryardiedescendant Yeah, plain and simple I see you as a segregationist. You've gone backwards honestly. There is no melting pot if you just keep to yourselves and never "melt" in the pot.
Minority favorable discrimination happens all the time. There's carveouts in the law for it. This notion you have of an egalitarian society where people aren't having their race taken into consideration doesn't exist. That's true here and that's true in many other facets of American life.
These are things that normal, sane people fought against. I see no reason we shouldn't do the same today eliminating all of it.
Your opinion is that of the "If society doesn't accepts gays, they shouldn't have to serve them." Or something like... "If this group of people want to have drinking fountains just for themselves, so be it." I mean... that's just people pooling their resources, investing, and having a small set of things just for themselves right?
You have to be a colossal hypocrite who doesn't care to acknowledge this gross character defining trait to actually believe this.
And you say black owned... show me one non-black person living there.
@@joshuakelly9390 I’m not a segregationist. By definition that is someone who champions enforced separation by law. I’m saying that if people (and that includes White people) want to voluntarily create spaces for themselves where they share common interests, that they should be free to do so without retaliation. How is that evil? It’s freedom of association and it would solve a lot of problems.
I ride pass these on the interstate wondering who owned them I know now
And they sold out!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Were all the buyers black?
@QBeeBiankaWallace
I 'm thinking the same thing. Yet, we've seen this rerun before. Some other culture aka the dominant one, will run with it and blast how they thought of it first. And guess who won't be invited to that party. But Koodos to this young man.
Liberals have always opposed segregation. Mankind is so silly. Glad God never changes and His love is steadfast. Jesus Christ, the thrill of hope, for a sick, hurting, and weary world-Romans 10:9-10 from the Bible: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”
Good thing for black people doing something but no for the price
180 thousand
tiny home crack houses
200k what an absolute ripoff.
Well how hypocritical. Everybody says we need to come together and live as one we build a community for a certain race only
He never said it was only for black people. But it is most likely gonna be sold to black people first. Just like any other race that does it and have been doing it to blacks for years. Now all of sudden you can't handle what your people dished out for years. This is owned and built by black people and it's in our community so of course we're most likely gonna be in those homes first. It's still open to the public to any race
It’s black owned not black only
Whites are the ones doing the Segregation
They don't say that with China town. They called you lazy and when you do for self they try to make you feel guilty.
@@patriciahercules6852 exactly. Thank you. Every time black people start doing for themselves all of sudden the "race card" comes from non black people. They really want us depending on them. Not gonna happen
That’s a great idea for apartment renters to transition to a apartment size home. Is being black a requirement to buy a home in that community?
Can you imagine a headline saying. "First White-developed micro-community'' being developed.
That would be racism.
Y’all can never let other groups have their moment. Always feel the need to insert yourselves in everything. Was genocide, mass erasure of history and religion, along with rape and pillaging not enough. Oh wait it never is. Just stfu and let ppl have their moment because if we were still in Africa we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. And no it wouldn’t be racism if whytes were discriminated against by every other group for just being born.
Because black people don't mind living together
wait till gangs come in, i think we forgetting what the real problem is deflecting it onto white people bc police killings is so low compared to gang violence
Yah tell me how liberty city is doing.
