This is absolutely beautiful. I pray that God continues to bless this young man and all those who purchase homes from him!!
Watch it become a drug dealing drive by shooting hotspot 😂😂😂😂😂
@@dl-ue3pw You heard "Black" and your bias emerged.
Amen to that
I agree. Nothing like home-ownership. Even if a small house, it's wonderful when YOU own it. This builder is doing a great work. I hope that many minorities get to own one soon! It really helps a person's self-esteem! Good luck.
Next, I want to see many of duplicated across the country for all people regardless of race. I can visualize singles having a chance to have their own home, seniors able to downsize to such a community, and have that concept of community once again in this country. Available to all!
@@dl-ue3pwYeah so white people in the suburbs will have somewhere to buy their drugs. Don't say it's not true. Come to Connecticut.
Great job. But 500 Sq. Feet for 200k+.
Great job sir!!! You are doing God’s work. Please don’t stop. So inspiring!!!❤
I know dam well they ain't say 180,000 for a tiny house be fr this why people are buying sheds instead hell even a piece of wood !!
This is my prayer and my dream. Oh my goodness! I have told everyone who would listen that I want to retire and build elegant tiny homes, THIS is the concept!!!! I'm so excited and happy for this developer. I am praying for you and all who are blessed with affordable but new and nice homes.
Me too!!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Hope this grows in each counties, cities and States . Not liking the basketball player purchasing to rent it out. These should be for those who are buying to live in.
Lost me when he talked about the prices smh. It's the same down here in hot ass San Antonio Texas, tiny home should come with tiny price, why would someone want to invest in tiny home when they can get a bigger home around that same price. I just don't like how things are goin on as far as people not being able to afford simple decent housing.
I first heard about tiny homes in a 2015 documentary the cost was about $45 - $50,000 some people were putting the homes on farmland or waaay back on someone's land that had a lot of acreage and pay the land owners private lot fees...then the government found out and started making a big hoopla about the way the homes are NOT up to safety code...complaints about Plumbing/ electrical/ hazardous materials etc. the next thing you know less than 10 years later, these tiny homes are costing $90,000 and up🤯😱and the size isn't any bigger than when they first came on the scene...NOW THAT'S CRAZY!!!
super cool- these needs to be happening ALL over the county-
Love what this man is doing, I hope to do something similar building homes soon.
180,000 to 230,000 is still way to high for what they get and then add insurance and property tax to that. I feel that if they were to reduce taxes and do away with insurance that the price of housing would come down. Everyone has got to make money on the sale. Let's now have 50 year mortgages. I see it coming.
Exactly! Those houses at 400 sf can be built for $40,000 at $100 psf with subcontractors. He’s overcharging and “overpriced.” Georgia and Florida are not California. Here in LA, I can get built at $80,000 ($200 psf, lower end). State of California allows owner/builder up to 4 homes.
you forgot HOA - there is always rent to be paid on a communal property that you "own"
I ran this past 2 ppl close to me that are relators and they both said that THIS is the market in Atlanta ... if it was an 'unconscious developer' they'd be more .... the novelty of their size makes them a bit lower in price and also makes them a bit less valuable to the general real estate types ... that was my friends opinions, if you have information to the contrary I can respect that!
@@BGeorgeVideo Not that price per square foot!!!!!! No sir!
Yep taking advantage of people's trauma is a crime
The cost is still Unaffordable not including the Lot Fees which is a few hundred. Kudos for the Efforts but I'm not paying a mortgage for 30 years for a small community and then what If I want to sale and Can't?
He’s Stepping Out and Up., doing Something. Concept and Infill Builds should be supported.
Infill supported, ever thank you kindly 💯
How are them prices affordable?
Funny how they have already highlighted the new "affordable housing" being bought up by investors. Pretty sure that's counterproductive to the community purpose/dream and furthers the problem.
beautiful, hope he makes a wonderful and bright community
Love everything except the rich are still snapping up these affordable houses for investment properties. Taking away a chance for an person and that's part of the reason we're having rent issues across the nation.
She doesn't live there so she doesn't really care who lives there as long as they pay the rent. While the actually home owners around the renter suffer through their rude actions.
Make it for home owners ONLY! No investors!
I can’t wait to buy a home around there. Hope more are to come
I’m so proud of him !!!!!!
It looks beautiful.
Great just job Ms Entrepreneur. Well done 👏🏾
This is awesome. We need more it this on a huge scale. It will help everyone in Atlanta. Beautiful I love my city!
This is awesome ❤️
Beautiful Brother! Keep on Keepin On. PROUD!!
For anyone asking or saying that others outside of the Black community should be able to purchase these homes, the answer should be NO for this first sub-division/community. This is located just south of the Beltline, where many have been displaced by gentrification and will continue to be affected well after the Beltline is completed. I would hope that the surrounding communities would be given a priority but the fact that they have already allowed investors to purchase is going to make this pointless if these will just turn into rentals.
That's freaking RACIST
Isn’t that racist and segregation though?
@@Wolfie254 Stop crying.Grow up , you are not a baby.😂
Are you going to include investors too? That WNBA player is black but she can NOT legally rent to only black people. Good for her on growing her pockets but she took a chance for someone else.
They shouldn’t allow no black people at all if you want to be like 👍🏼 that 😭😭😭🙄🙄🙄
This is wonderful for people to have access to affordable housing.
Taking it to another level!
$180,000 - $230,000 for 400 to 600 sq ft? 🤔 Paying for a 1 bedroom detached apartment? 🤔
Ripoffs
It is a total ripoff. SMH
Compared to the price of other homes this is great. No one is making YOU buy one of these. Stuff it.
Yeah f that lol
Barly a apartment
This is amazing 👏
Mr. Washington you are a rockstar!!! God bless you. How about some units for the wheelchair seniors?
230k is cost of homes outside atl and definitely would not be micro sized with or without micro size with ..nicely appointed amenities i though prices would've benn 100k 😊for tall window nice lighting and 800 square feet of living space 😅
190k for 335 sqft? No garages, 210k for 410sqft. That is over 500 Dollars a squarefoot. Good on the investors for making a huge profit. I would not consider this affordable housing though.
@H8tower I don't either definitely not truly affordable just expensive tiny home average home in sw ga 225k.will get u 4 bedroom on 2
Acres with garage and room to grow 170k get u 3 bed 1 bath home but I admit atl is much more crowded my advice leave city

Great...go go
500 sq ft for $230,000 ?
Common now, before people start praising him for doing a great job, they need to do the math.
If his mission is to genuinely help the black community, the prices need to be more reasonable than that.
I feel this is a case of a black man taking advantage of his fellow blacks.
I know he’s in the business to make money, but he’s actually charging more than the developers who build 2,000+ sq ft homes.
🎯
Building a house of 2,000 square feet in that area will be at least 270k. Those prices you are talking about went out about six years ago.
I love it 😻
Awesome!
He DID what I was UNABLE to do when the SEC qualified my $50 million dollar real estate stock fund (RegA+ Tier 2). CONGRATULATIONS💯👍🏿🙏🏿. I’m so proud that other Blacks are dedicating themselves to the plight of affordable housing. However, the developer is way OVERCHARGING for a 400 square feet home. For example, my 600 square homes will sell for $100,000 in Atlanta and 199,000 in Los Angeles based on Cost of Build ($75 to $275 lower end). In Atlanta, you can get a 400 square feet house built for $40,000. @ $100 psf. So, his markup is 3x to 5x. Georgia law allows you to act as owner/builder if less than 1,000 sf with qualified subcontractors.
How do you get something like this started?
@@XaldinX Something like what? House? Real Estate Fund? Etc?
I would have to agree. I found builders here in Georgia and Florida that charge $175-$200 a square foot and my proposed house is only 400 square feet which will make the house about $70,000 - $80,000 and the 2 acres of land cost about $80,000, so this is not what I would consider affordable housing. Also, I can subdivide the land if I choose to, sell it and make some of my money back. Also, they are allowing investors to buy the houses and rent them out, so how is this building community? It's a no for me, but if it works for them, go for it.
@@latonyalee7821 Your point well taken and respected👍🏿. You are absolutely RIGHT 💯. There is no way in hell I will pay a contractor in Georgia or Florida over $100 psf to build. In California, the lower end to build is $125 up to $300 for a 600 sf. But it’s CA! My goal is to hire a lot of Mexicans subcontractors and get it built here in Los Angeles from $100 to $150. It can be done because you subcontracting all the work instead of using a General Contractor. And, they do a damn good job!
@@MichaelGilmoreTV Absolutely. Good Luck with everything!
NICEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll be doing this

85% owner occupied.
@@laryanryan9170 Yes, but for how long? Are owners allowed to rent them out at any point? If so, they will if and when they decide they need more space.
@@latonyalee7821 I believe that 85% is the limit like some condos do. You have to go on a waiting list to rent out a property that has a threshold for renting.
Brilliant🎉
These homes should have a typical 8-9 foot ceiling to lower the costs. This alone will make it more affordable. Leave the 12 - 16 foot ceilings for luxury homes. Don't be fooled. 12 -'14 ft lumber is much more expensive.
T.I, may the community and people honor what you and your wife have done.
Hopefully, their mindset will raise to another level and not let a poverty mentality or drug dealers destroy what you all have built.
Congrats!
A wealthy person buying the property to be a rental or a Air b and b defeats the purpose. Van life and the tiny home movement was people becoming minimalist to save money and not have all your income going to mortgage, bills and taxes. But the same ones who control everything has jumped into the movement and pulled the prices up. Which keeps the same people out. His prices is the same as any other small home out here. What happen to the $50,000 tiny homes. But I'm happy for him.
I get it but if you really think about it, you’re spending over 200,000 for interest for less than 900 square-foot what that’s gonna do is make everything cost more for less
better looking trailerpark in suburbia next to an airport...
🙌🏾YES
The problem with the whole tiny home concept is the high price per square foot. Overall, they are a poor value. I'm all for going smaller, but if the cost 75% to 100%+ higher per square foot, what is the point? Property taxes won't be any lower than any other house at the same price point. Huge markup.
So true. I'm going tiny and just want a simple house, not all these luxury upgrades that jack the price up. 400 square feet should cost no more than 50,000-60,000 in my opinion.
House cost 2500000 property rent 2500 a month who want to bet?
Nice i love to buy a house
💯
Love this
There needs to be a homeowners association with rules or it will become a ghetto in no time.
My hat is off to him. Now watch the big boys copy it, cheapen theirs, sell them at a cheaper price. and flee from accountability.

How can I buy?
How can get into this.
The problem with tiny house communities is that the people don't own the land and therefore the entrepreneurs who build these communities charge exorbitant lot fees on top of the cost of the home. So one can own the tiny home but are then stuck paying rent forever. What we need are nonprofit communities where you own the land and the house.
But isn't that pretty much the same if you buy a house... A regular size house. You're still responsible for paying property taxes. If you don't you still may end up losing your home. But I do agree that it would be best to first buy your own land then have the structure built on it. But you still always owe taxes lol
anymore communities being put up that I can look into

I'm not American. What is the relevance of his skin colour?
Simply being the first to do so I guess.
This is nothing new, google in America sponsors shops that are “black owned businesses” which is the african equivalent of kosher certification lol
@@Regansaidso Like, Kosher and Halal are sorta different than normal meats. Is there something different about a black owned cinema or coffee shop? Sorry, not from the USA.
@@DAndyLord ok i dont know if you’re being sarcastic lol but basically any “small” business that is owned by or supports people that are considered a minority/historically suppressed class, google adds whatever class that is, to the description lol. Basically if you aren’t owned and operated by a white person it will say so in the description. Think of it as a virtue signal.
The relevance of skin color dates back in US History. Many Black Americans were discriminated against for their skin color since the businesses and neighborhoods that were made clean and functioning were only made for white people in order to create a strong middle class, white race in the United States after World War II. Black Americans were never treated as equal to white folks, so therefore Black people had to create towns for their own in order to protect themselves against racist white people who would disrespect them. As for businesses, Black-owned businesses were made in order for Black people to empower themselves to be self-determined and proud of who they are. This is the solution rather than expecting the white-dominant government of the country to give them social benefits.
