    Really nice to see larger space with room for garden and to build a studio/shed. I never understood how people can not have a shed. I could only do a tiny home if I had a separate office studio AND a shed!

    Very happy to see tiny house communities like this one.
    A tiny house is not just a leg up towards a typical oversized, resource guzzling American house. It is a way of life that takes less resources from the Earth and gives tiny house homeowners both less indebtedness & more freedom to live a fuller human life.
    A lower resource footprint, a smaller carbon footprint, the possibility of running on renewable energy, and the necessity to acquire fewer material things. The opportunity to break the cycle of consumer spending addiction, garbage creation and storage unit renting for owning even more unnecessary crap.
    Plus the ability to move on if your local environment goes to $h1t. Global climate change, a sixth mass extinction, and a massive worldwide debt bubble all suggest the wisdom of going tiny...

  • @stacybroussard3097
    @stacybroussard3097 Před 2 lety +12

    Love the park!! And am grateful for the couple that built this place to house the tiny homes🙏 However, I think his Lot Rent is astronomical!! Up to 825 dollars a month, and all they cover is sewer and garbage??? So, the people that reside there who are trying to live affordably are still paying for recycling, power, cable + dwelling taxes??? Like I said, cudos to the couple that built the park, but.. he's making a killing .. I watch a lot of tiny home channels and this is by far the most expensive for rent... People need to go tiny because they can't afford high rent or mortgage payments... It's not just for young couples starting out, what about the elder community who lives off of social security or a pension??? If your rent is already topping out at 825 a month, where will this "Rent" end up?? Are you going to up it every year??? Just like an Apartment? So... In all things considered, Are the owners really trying to give people a break?? Or are they in it for their own personal benefit? I watch, as I said so many of these tiny home villages being made, and your's by far is the most Expensive. More than 300 dollars a month from some I've read about... Even ones in California... God Bless You Both and Hope you start to see the bigger picture... Helping your fellow friends live a comfortable, affordable, Happy life... One that they don't have to stress about yearly when the rent goes UP! JUST REMEMBER, WHEN YOU BLESS AND HELP PEOPLE, IT WILL BE GIVEN BACK TO YOU🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏

    • @HallFamilyDurango
      @HallFamilyDurango Před 2 lety +3

      We do get this comment from people unfamiliar with housing, land and development costs in locations like Durango.
      We had the option of developing condos or homes selling in the $800,000 range as is being done down the street. They quickly sold out. That route would have been much more profitable and less hassle with building and zoning.
      Our development may not be the right fit for you. There are smaller RV style spaces in less desirable locations at half the price. There are more expensive and nicer ones as well. To each their own.

    $700 for a parking spot that they will never own is insane. I wish more people had the option to rent and buy land straight from the government and not have to be involved directly with landlords that will over charge at every opportunity they have. $300 for a parking spot is still a profit per tiny house… $700 is greed.

    Being born and raised in Colorado and seeing the homelessness population rise over the years along with astronomical housing costs, this is just ridiculous. The point of tiny living was to lower expenses, reduce clutter and live a more simpler life that was affordable and comfortable. Just like with the van life craze, people have now taken advantage of this movement and turned it into another commodity made for the wealthy. The lot rent for a piece of land you'll never own is outrageous and greedy. Shame on them really.
