Thanks.... I bought an srm225 for my yard this summer and I believe I'm gonna take that little screen out of it before I put it up for the winter. Not having any issues yet but it will save me from having to bother with it when it eventually does act up. As I have seen this is a fairly common problem with the newer srm225. Was stoked when I saw this as its exactly what was happening to my echo srm225. However I took off the muffler and it really wasn’t dirty at all. Neither the muffler or the spark arrestor show any sign on clog but it still won’t rev up. Any idea? Clogged fuel line?
With muffler off look at piston. Make sure there isn't any lines. If it's Shiney it's time for a new carburetor. I do fuel lines and everything on Amazon I use hipa products. They are oem quality. I have alot of videos showing how to install. O also gas could be bad. It is only good for 3 weeks in a gas can.
