They make most their money working at the pool hall back home, either as the owner or as an instructor. Tournament travel, food and hotel expenses are covered by their sponsors and their countries sporting commission. The prize money they win from tournaments are like bonus checks. But you have to play in the tournaments and win to get them. At the end of the day, only the top players will make "a lot" of money, like Shane, Filler or Fedor Gorst. Besides tournament winnings, they work at the pool hall.

S2G7 hung hangs that 6 ball in the corner I couldn't believe it, she can make that one in her sleep, natural position, seo hits the next shot all crazy and comes out smelling like a rose, that's the pool Gods for ya .. its always good to remember that we just play the game, the Gods decide what shots go in and who wins the games and sets... remember this and play knowing this and they just might favor you on your next shot... :-) .. without getting into fundamentals you're not actually paying against an opponent, your playing against the Gods, and that's a totally different game than one might think...
I think they should do away with the stop clock all together, people want to see quality shots, which i don't think they get has much when certain players are having to rush.
