    Many people think that we have to act tough in negotiations.
    Some companies even teach people to be aggressive.
    I believe that is nonsense.
    It can jeopardize your agreements and relationships.
    I recommend to start from a place of collaboration, rather than confrontation.
    👉 It is more ethical.
    👉 It creates less stress.
    👉 It is better for your reputation.
    Whether it's for multimillion-dollar business deals, or at home -
    I have seen for the past 22 years that true success can be achieved by remaining calm.
    This takes self-control, expertise and experience.
    Of course frustration, anger, threats, ultimatums and deadlocks are part of negotiations. But they don't have to be the starting point.
    I'm not impressed with people who raise their voice, manipulate or threaten.
    Nor should you.
    Don't let that kind of behavior destabilize you. Try to remain calm and you'll achieve more.
