I got confused about Sukapon at first, but its like Nintendo is making Smash Bros a memorial and Meusem for all things Nintendo. Just like I never knew about Ness before smash bros in my childhood.

That's the coolest thing about Smash, it can immortalize lesser known characters for the casual crowd. That's another reason I desperately want Isaac to join Smash

Andres E. Gomez M. I knew about those characters before Melee and Brawl, but I had no idea about Ness, Lucas, Marth or Roy, as at the time none of their games had been released in Europe. Also don't think I'd heard of Ice Climbers back then either

This reminds me of how difficult Luigi's Mansion hacking is. It uses the same hex system as well. Though, alot more stuff was found in Luigi's Mansion as compared to melee.

Never heard of Sukapon before but I'm glad he's an assist trophy in SSBU. I love references to Nintendo's more obscure properties

Marcus Katich When I first played Melee I didn't know any Nintendo character besides the Mario and Pokémon characters actually. But back to Sukapon there's not point in bringing a character that will never get another game AND was available only in Japan.
When's the last time the world saw an F-Zero game? Captain Falcon is still in Smash regardless. Then there's R.O.B. and Game and Watch...
Marcus Katich Those are different cases. Captain Falcon isn't gonna be kicked out of Smash anytime soon because fans love him and he's apart of the original 12. ROB and Mr Game and Watch are in their as remembrance of Nintendo's past but they were available world wide. They were obscure characters but they were around world wide.
I take your point. Still, I certainly wouldn't complain if Sukapon was playable in future entries!

She would be awesome as a guest character in ARMS.
I played and enjoyed Joy Mecha Fight, but Sukapon is not that great of a character in it. He's got 1 good move where he does some kind of spazzing cartwheel at the opponent and has this high pitched screaming buzz while doing it. Other robots are more fun though.
But I still liked the character and wanted him playable in Smash.

It is. Well, the standard character encoding for strings, anyway (such as code references and disc title/maker strings, etc.). The text that appears in-game uses textures, which use a different, unique format to reference them.

Oniric imo he'd be really dumb and redundant to add. his design is basically a less interesting, pink G&W. his moveset would probably be boring and uninspired thanks to his origin moveset being pretty lame. also gotta remember that they'd have to spend development time on him that could've gone onto a highly requested character like K. Rool.
