If you suspect this cable being unplugged is your issue, you can probably get away with just moving the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way and snaking your hand down and around the back of the intake manifold to plug it back in, I was able to do it, and it fixed my problem with minimal effort
i had bmw e90 3201 N46 engine. Car cranks but not start . Scan and prompt camshaft sensor inlet. replaced the sensor but no start/ check signal voltage its 10V.may i know whats happen?
Hey I have a 2011 328i and so I am having random stalling and then car won’t start back up just cranks. Tried a few times then waited like 30 mins and then it suddenly starts up normal no hesitation and runs and drives. No check engine light and it has happened twice. Once with my wife and then with myself. What do you think this might be???? I scanned it and no codes pending.

Thanks man. My BMW has this issue and then the transmission started acting weird. I thought maybe I got 2 issues at once and started to stress. I was already doing the repair on the Crankshaft position sensor one my own, in hopes it affected the transmission as well and then saw this and it cleared it up for me.

@@TheLifeOfMartin nice 👍 I’ll make sure to order this part my car started shifting weird only from 3-4 and I got the trans malfunction errror on the screen I turned off the car and turn it back on and it didn’t come back ok just shifts weird now ... so hopefully when I change this everything goes back to normal !
@@MrTwosick i should say, i got it into limp mode today, turned it off and on and worked again. Either a boost leak or something with boost solenoids. It acted similar to before I changed the crankshaft position sensor but only till i turned it off and on.

My 2007 bmw 328i coupe has a rpm of 200 and tr stuck in limp mode... bmw tech says that 4-5 is below spec. Will this possibly fix my issues?
Have u ever found the problem? I got p0300 code and a misfire in all cylinders, and is in limp mode and rpm jumps around 300-500
you don't have to remove intake.....
E93 starts fine runs fine but if turned off will not start until motor is cooled. Is this related to this issue?

Hi, my 2016 bmw m4 doesn’t start, the error code is 164020 intake camshaft sensor,electric;short circuit to b+. I have replaced the sensor but the problem is still there. Any idea what it can be? Thanks
Did you wipe the error code after you replaced the part? Have you replaced the fuel pump? Have you checked your starter relay fuse? Just a few things that might help
I have misfire on cylinder 3 that will not go away replaced everything coils and plugs and injectors and seal. Still there I’m so lost

Hi guys.... where is the starter fuse located... I have a no crank no start issue... have removed the starter motor and had it checked... all good.... have replaced earthing cable from engine mount to body.... still no result... have no codes showing that anything is wrong... have checked cable from starter as I know it gets very hot down there... any help would be most appreciated... kind regards John
Im having the same issue rn, it cranks but wont spark, it happened after i changed my oil filter housing gaskets. How did you resolve your issue?
@lorenz grice hi Lorenz, I've changed the starter motor with no result, had the battery checked by auto electrician, said I'd be wasting money to replace it... after going through everything I went and bought a new battery... running perfect again... it looks like the IBS is very sensitive, and it shuts down the starter motor... The funny thing is the headlights worked perfectly when I had no crank.... which is usually a quick test... but
battery fix the problem... hope that helps as I know how frustrating it is trying to get to the bottom of the problem.... regards John

My 335i sat for 3 days and out of no where I turn it on and now reverse or any gear doesn’t work, it just says it’s in nuetral for a few secs and then says transmission dct or tca not sure but something like that. I need help please😭😭
