I think Prior does it on purpose. I have gone back and rewatched when cameras were allowed and he had to be asked/told to repeat questions and speak into the microphone many many tines.

Do I get it right? Lori has no mitigating witnesses for her penalty phase, except the (paid) experts? Did her family finally accept that what she has done was wrong? Or they are keeping close the list of those witnesses to sheld them from media attention. It seems that at least Loris defense will put religious aspects at the centre of all of it. It is interesting how it will square up with Priors theory of the case. I wish we had the cameras there, I want to know how the defendants react to eachother. Is Chud still avoiding any eyecontact with Lori? Does she still believe that she can charm him? Also, does the defense have the ability to mute their mics? Because in this quiet court room I could hear a bit of their whispering. I hope that this doesn't cause the audio being prohibited. And still, I think that baning the video, but not audio is just silly, and the family members would benefit greatly if this was streamed/televised. As a family member I would want to see everything, but from the comfort and safety of my home, without need to spend money on traveling and accommodation. Also with streaming you can see it later, you can pause or skip when stuff becomes emotional. Here they force family to travel, sit in courtroom on those hard cold benches and listen to everything as it comes. I really don't like this judicial decision and I think it was unfair and rushed.

The 5 million bond b4 the murder charges because the two of them were not disclosing where the children were while the newlyweds had setup housekeeping on a paradise island. The children were still missing but they knew the children were dead without "a speedy trial" or a Christian burial.

It’s Idaho look at the past trials they are slow It falls on the State and the Judge not being prepared and handling judicial time management. Alex Murdaugh is a different, the defense thought by asking for a speedy trial that the State would not be ready. They are finding out the State was more than ready. Most of the time in SC the State is always ready within 6 months after arrest and pre trial. On average our cases go to court within 1 1/2 years to 2 from the date of the arrest.
Really hard to follow without seeing who's talking and what not. Put the cameras back in the court room and keep them focused on everyone but the defendants.
I hope Prior is not expecting to be sought out by others for representation. He has proven he is completely ineffectual. If he's not ready by the time the trial was supposed to start, I think he should be removed from the case and another attorney should be assigned to Chad.

Does anyone know why cameras are not allowed, I thought it was a right in the USA for people to be able to watch a trial. I’m in Australia so there is no way I can be present. They had cameras in the court room for Ted Bundys trial back in the 1976. Come on!!!!!!!!! This is just ridiculous...everything what we hear , they could have done in writing. Defence is trying to delay on every little thing...asking the prosecution for their theory of the case in penalty fase...wow...just move on judge!!!! Judge is soooooo careful it's starting to be not normal!!!!!! Give justice to the kids!!!!!!!!!

By the time this criminal case gets to trial the world would have possibly ended. On and on and on it goes..all victims forgotten by the year 2045 when a jury is finally approved.
Does anyone know why cameras are not allowed, I thought it was a right in the USA for people to be able to watch a trial. I’m in Australia so there is no way I can be present. I want to SEE it so I can watch expressions and body language etc not just hear disembodied voices when half the time I’ve no idea who is who and who is talking.
It's a new thing to be able to watch a trial and I believe it's at the courts discretion

They had cameras in the court room for Ted Bundys trial back in the 1976. I think that was the first time cameras had been allowed in a court room
Lori seems to be able to get men to do what ever she wants. I bet she’s got the male prison guards sorted. They don’t have cameras in court rooms where I live so I appreciated being able to watch what goes on. Jodi Arias for example, now that was a ride.
Many people who follow this case feel the need to see justice. Let the public see the entire trial. The Daybells should face the people for what they have been accused of. The public also want answers to the many questions involving this case. It is important that the Daybells not receive special treatment and a cloak of secrecy.
