I imagine if the Court doesn't support them being there as the victims they clearly are, the Prosecution will take them off the witness list. The judge is noting that if someone is a witness they usually can’t attend trial and hear the testimony of other witnesses UNLESS they are a victim. I have seen court proceedings that were very observant of this and ones that couldn't care less. My hunch is that because this is such a high profile case - with so much previous media coverage - - that they are doing everything and beyond to ensure the proceedings have no compromises - not short comings - and no room for mistrial. I don't think that Anyone In the Court is Bending to Lori's Will - - it just sometimes works out that legal parameters favor one or another party inadvertently - not intentionally.

Surely the biological grandparent is a family member when the adoptive mother stands accused of killing 2 of 3 children and the legal father of the murder victims. I understand the issue around a witness being shielded from others evidence, to protect their testimony. However when you consider the involvement Kay and Larry have had, they will know all this stuff off by heart at this point.

I imagine if the Court doesn't support them being there as the victims they clearly are, the Prosecution will take them off the witness list. Then have someone else offer in any evidence they might have brought in.

No the court is not determining who the victims are. The court is going to determine which of the victims that are witnesses are also the immediate family members therefore excluded from the rule of law not to be in the court room when other witnesses testify.

The judge is noting that if someone is a witness they usually can’t attend trial and hear the testimony of other witnesses UNLESS they are a victim. The judge is trying to prevent someone from watching the trial and then oh crap now we can have them testify as a witness. The grandparent or not grandparent part rocked me. I think that is Lori playing a sick game. I think JU was killed in retaliation for Charles not naming Lori as beneficiary of his life insurance. I have seen court proceedings that were very observant of this and ones that couldn't care less. My hunch is that because this is such a high profile case - with so much previous media coverage - - that they are doing everything and beyond to ensure the proceedings have no compromises - not short comings - and no room for mistrial. I don't think that Anyone In the Court is Bending to Lori's Will - - it just sometimes works out that legal parameters favor one or another party inadvertently - not intentionally.

The children were left mutilated in backyard Graves for months and their bodies in the morgue for years because the children have NO ONE to speak on their behalf.
