Quite frankly this case is taking way too long to put these two murderers away. Insane!
Well they are locked up so there is that.
I think part of the delay was because of covid but yeah they need to get to the trial now.

I am furious that law enforcement did not listen to Charles Vallow. He seemed to be a wonderful man. He deserved so much better than crazy Lori!
I cannot agree more. That was soooo frustrating hearing him saying how frightened he was that Lori was acting so bizarre prior to his sudden murder. I think Alex died because of all the stress he was keeping inside after being coerced into taking innocent peoples lives.
@@deborahhenderson149 I think Ok Do you remember hearing that Tammy had pink foam coming out of her mouth Well somewhere I heard Alex did too And I have to wonder If they figured out something they could slip into there meds that would stop there hearts because Chad did work at a place that took care of people that passed away and It work with Tammy so they used that same stuff to take out everyone else Just my theory about it and They said Alex had High blood pressure and They slipped it in or on his meds before he left to be with that wife of his and They knew it was just a matter of time before he took them meds to take him out because getting rid of the people that knew things was better and Alex knew A LOT and I think Alex was trying to run away because He knew it was just a matter of time before someone was going to question them about Where them kids went So He was trying to save himself and Chad and Lori were thinking he could tell on them Even though Alex was thinking he was going to be able to get away with Charles death There was still the kids

John Prior was charged with battery in 2012. A 19 yr old young woman was applying for employment and seeking legal advice when he tried to sexually attack her..his defense was she agreed to his advances and even took money from him (or the office, not sure) she denied taking any money or agreeing to his advances..Prior was sentenced to 120 days jail with 100 days suspended..he was fined as well..

Why didn't Chad Daybells attorney John Prior loose his law license after pleading guilty to forcing himself(🤮) on his client for attorney fees? What a freaking circus.
Probably 1) because he plead to a misdemeanor rather being convicted of a felony at trial & a felony is seen as much more of an issue in licensure concerns & 2) the powers that be are much more concerned about guilt when it relates to things that affect ethical court proceedings rather than focusing on personal issues like this. Unfortunately the court likely didn't see it as affecting his ability to ethically carry out his duties as an officer of the court. It's usually a very high threshold to be disbarred in most instances. It's more the fact that clients still come to him to retain him after he plead guilty that's the problem & sadly it's their choice to overlook his past. It's not necessarily right but that's likely the reason

Except he's almost finally gotten it. The judge said that if Chad doesn't get the evidence in time for it to be reviewed & Lori won't waive speedy trial he might go ahead & sever them. 😁 maybe he's paying off someone at the state lab so he can get his severance! (Joke-Mr. Prior, if you read this, I'm only teasing. I don't really believe you bribed anyone).
The judge didn’t say no to severing the case. Were you even listening? He even said under certain circumstances he would even recommend it to the state to sever the case.
If the the judge doesn’t sever there will years of appeals. People are impatient now, once the appeals process crank up it will be 10 to 15 years before there is any resolution.

Pryor, Daybell's lawyer, has been trying to get the cases separated for years.
In early 2021 he said the cases needed to be tried separately because of "Vallow's fragile mental state."
In late 2022, he said the cases needed to be tried separately because the defense teams will "offer mutually antagonistic defenses" which would make it impossible for both of them to be found innocent. (I guess this means Chad is gonna say "Lori and Alex did it all.")
Now, Jan 2023, he's saying just HIS case, not LORI's must be delayed because of this evidence which may somehow prove his client innocent.
What? DNA evidence which is going to prove that Chad
1. didn't have 2 children's bodies buried on his property, right where he sent a super long and totally unique text to his (then) wife saying that he'd buried an animal right in that spot.
2. didn't phone Melanie Gibb and ask her to lie to the police about having one of the murdered children with her, which Gibb got confirmed in a phone call she recorded of Chad talking about this.
3 that his wife wasn't shot at shortly before she suddenly died of something unknown..but he didn't want an autopsy. Pocketed a large life insurance and 2 weeks later married the woman whose dead children's bodies were found on his property.
That is going to be some MASSIVE DNA evidence to explain all that away.
Prior's in, WAY over his head & he'll never be ready for this trial. And, Lori will walk because her constitutional rights weren't met.
The state wants to try them together, much easier to point to each person, and show how the conspiracy transpired.
Pryor wants a to have a separate trial, so he can disparage Lori, and Chad won’t feel pushback from her while she sits 10-feet away.
Lori’s atty. doesn’t want her tied to Tammy Daybell’s death, and will want to blame Chad for brainwashing her delicate mental health.
I’m glad case is not being juried by Rexburg residents. But, this circus needs to end, and we need to see the finale.
Judge has been so lenient with Defense, and their delays. I know it is a DP case, and he doesn’t want cause for an appeal(s), but this case needs to come to a conclusion in 2023!!
The grandparents are up in age, they need to see justice for JJ n Ty.

Nate, thank you. This case has been so poorly handled by this court. The families of those who were killed have lived in this limbo of agony for years. Most of us keep track and follow other cases, and this one has been handled the absolute worst by those given the responsibility of getting this case to trial. My heart breaks for JJ’s grandparents and Tylees family, who have been present for every important moment. Tammy Daybells death is also a great tragedy, and if we, as a society, are going to honor these victims, the justice system needs to greatly step up their game.

The feelings of the families is irrelevant to the apportioning of justice under the law. It's sad, but it's true. In a case this complex, where we may never know with 100% surety who did what, getting a jury as close as they can without any misconduct or technicalities takes precedence over getting it in court and over with.

Another here from Georgia. Totally agree. They need to start the trial now. No more nonsense. None of the victim's, ESPECIALLY Tylee and JJ, had a chance to speak to anyone or have their demise delayed. The Court needs to STOP giving privileges to these suspects so these grieving families can get closure and move on with their lives. Mr Pryor is never going to say he's prepared for trial. There is no reason for these continuous delays.

@Glory Days exactly my thoughts since the very beginning when Mark Means was Chad's attorney just before Chad got arrested, and Chad was on the phone speaking with Lori who was in jail (that's how we heard the recorded conversation) and Chad was telling her to call Mark M. I feel that they have pre-planned all the b.s filings and mental health issues and everything else they have done. Everybody involved in this case from the Judge, lawyers, and despicable, ugly ass murderers are all part of the same sick ass cult.

Judge has no jurisdiction over physics laws... the time depends on the sample quality. Some are quick, some take ages.

By not allowing cameras in court for the trial is unfair to the victims families..most cannt afford to take 8-10 weeks off work..plus the cost of travel food and lodging, they need to be able to watch the trial!..(and so does the public)..

I'm glad the judge didn't agree with the trial being delayed again. As much as I don't care for Chad's attorney, he does fight for him and brought up some very valid points. I can't imagine the exhaustion the prosecutors are feeling from this case, especially Rob.
Tylee & JJ need to be laid to rest & the grandparents (bless their forever broken hearts) need for this to be over so they can rest as well. My heart is with them & everyone else that the unnecessary loss of life has affected.

@@greenman6141 well they are still at this time assumed innocent until proven guilty. So they are charged and have been locked up for over 2 years without being convicted of anything. What will happen if.. and that is a huge IF the jury doesn't find the state proved their case? If it all got finished at the 3 year mark and they aren't found not guilty they will be suing the state for 3 years of lock up.

All motions were denied, John P still doesn't have DNA to have his experts test, and this judge keeps denying the motion to severe. Here's the biggest issue with that I see. Chad has waived his rights to a speedy trial, and Lori has not. That is a huge conflict of interest. In fact that was why he denied motion to push out trial for another year for Chad. John P doesn't even have DNA after 5 and a half months. Those are huge issues and I can see that causing a mistrial... if not an appeal after trial and winning the appeal. It's hard to be fair when you have 2 defendants that are going 2 very different directions in this case. Hence why it should have Been severed. Also the witnesses will be a huge problem. All you have to do to know that is watch Melanie Gibb be cross examined by John P in the pre trial hearing. People might not like it, but John is a good attorney. She makes a horrible witness she has been caught lying several times which creates reasonable doubt with a jury. I could be wrong but I see this ending in a mistrial or won appeals after trial. I guess we will wait and see.

He was quickly cremated I believe … Tammy was not cremated but I bet Dumbbell wished he’d gone that route once she was exhumed !

Thank you EIN, Nate, and his crew for your continued dedication to this case. What I can’t understand is the extended time to process DNA testing in this case. Another horrible case in Idaho with the college students also had DNA testing but yet their tests were completed in days. So why is this case taking so long to test DNA? They are both in Idaho. Maybe the state in this case is using the wrong lab to process DNA. This I don’t understand.
Well the kids were killed months before they were found and one was dismemberment and burned. That means DNA evidence is harder to process. The guy who killed the college students left his knife sheath behind that had his DNA on it and had stalked them with his phone on. Two very different DNA processes.
@ladybug Lady, I am not a fan of Mr. Prior at all in fact I will give my own thoughts I think that he is being threatening the Court, the State, etc...Like he stated that if he didn't get HIS evidence than he will, and Daybell will drop him from the case. In all means I have to agree with MR Prior, but I can do without his threats! The Judge indicated that he will push for the DNA. Mr. P knowing that..well, knowing he is entitled to the DNA my question is, why hasn't he had the Lab Subpoena being there was or could be new evidence? Dah...Get it from the Horse's Mouth Mr. P And here's another thing I wouldn't put it past him to come up with the idea to get them private sessions without any recordings of any kind so that they can come up with strategies of their own. These two are murders, Lori was in on the killings of her own Children, and Tammy's Death. Who in their right mind would come up with that idea other you know who that's right Mr Prior of course. He is a man without any respect for the law, or the Court, or our Justice system, and how in the world he got his license is beyond me! He has dragged this case out for far to long. We want justice for Tylee, and JJ, and Tammy! RIP.
Two reasons, Mr Prior...... He has done this for years.. This Judge has caved over and over again.

They can speak through their lawyers.
Pryor is doing his job.
He does not care at all about Daybell.
I don’t know why everyone is bagging prior. He’s doing his job and he does have a right to the evidence and time to mount a proper defence
Naturally, I hate his client and I would never have taken this case, but he is doing a competent job and using legally-valid arguments.
Some lawyers are drawn to criminal defense, and work their entire careers without defending a murder
case.
I don’t know Mr Pryor, but can see he is an excellent professional. I could read up on him and review his cases, but I have come to dislike him, recognising that he is doing exactly what he was hired to do.
There are a few reasons some lawyers are drawn to CD work.
None of these include believing your client is not guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
That is where Pryor is aiming: reasonable doubt. Odds are against this stratagem being effective, but that’s where he aims.
Second stratagem is mistrial. Which, as this case moves forward, seems unlikely right now, but he’s going to try. Just watch. Or listen.
Much as we hate these murderers, the are citizens of the USA and entitled to this fiasco of a defence.
1) Chad is going to flip on Lori.
2) There is no exculpatory evidence waiting to be analysed.
3) Lori is going to plead out if death penalty is off the table.
4) they’re both incarcerated without bond.
Let them rot.
These trials must be heard with every-little point adjudicated flawlessly.
