I think there is an avoidance because it would put others in the awkward position of commenting on Prior in a negative way. During all these interviews you can tell lawyers and cops avoid saying anything negative about lawyers and cops. It’s part of the culture I’ve experienced and mostly it’s a good thing. Avoiding gossip and respect are good. But it also can lead to pink elephants that nobody wants to honestly discuss. Like the way LB went on about what *others* might think about Alex’s death when asked about what *she* thought. It’s har/ goes against norms to question what the Maricopa department concluded.

What an amazing interview! She is an amazing woman and I will never forget her closing argument. It was so clear and laid it out so concisely. She is a hero, as well as her whole team. And Nate, as always, you are such a wonderful interviewer.

I wonder how much MORE will come out in Arizona, regarding the attempt to murder Brandon. He was been clear that the ONLY person who knew his new address - who could have told Alex - was Melani P.
@@audrieking7109I heard somewhere Melani P got immunity too. But AZ could go after her for the attempt on Brandon. She was one of the few people who knew his address and really, why would her uncle try to kill him if she wasn’t involved ?
Soooo, the whole shenanigans about stairs and a bedroom upstairs in the courtroom were unecessary! What a dump house. Someone should buy it, tear it down and build a memorial park on it.

You know I'm not sure it was unnecessary. I understand what you mean though, but it did give us the possibility of chad sleeping separately from Tammy and a possible explanation of how Alex got into the house unseen.

We had Jacob Wetterling (11) missing in MN for decades. When it came out who SA and murdered him, the murderers home was purchased and nearly immediately bulldozed.
Lindsey is as impressive, articulate, humble and professional outside of court as she was in the trial!!! Lindsey for President!!!!!

I think she’s the only one who has said they would want to talk to Chad and Lori. That’s the psychology major I think. This is my favorite part about this whole process

We knew the sale was coming. The home was collateral until the trial was over and a final dollar amount could be determined for legal services. Now he needs to sell to collect on that.

No, I would not buy Chad's house. I don't believe anyone who knows what happened at the house would buy it. I'm guessing Emma isn't going to buy it. If so, John Prior would not have listed it, in my opinion. You have done great work in the Daybell case. I have followed you since the kids were missing. You have done an amazing job keeping everyone informed on what was happening. Job well done, Nate!

This woman and Rob Wood are a dynamic prosecution dream team.
Prior needs to be able to sell the house and receive payment. He didn’t want to defend Chad and was mandated to do so. He gave it his best and someone had to do it. No one should have to live on that property. It is stigmatized. The state or county should purchase it and put up a memorial park. The Daybell family should not be allowed to remain there. It’s emotionally damaging to Emma’s children, playing where their grandfather slaughtered children and their own grandmother.
He wanted to. If he hadn't he could have admitted he was not experienced enough and left the case when it became a Capitol case. But he refused and had no problem with it until Chad ran out of money and he couldn't find any other attorneys to join the case. Even then he didn't really want to leave the case, he was just pulling a stunt.
I'll bet parents of the Idaho four are livid. Ridiculous. Thank you, Nate!

Of course they don't. Didn't you see their hourly rate when they had to turn that over to get reimbursed from that attorney who claimed he was Chad's and faxed over his documents to the court on Good Friday close to midnight??

As far as the house selling I feel it will be a struggle and I expect for a lower price. One thing I cannot get over is the fact that not all of Tylee was found so my concern is that property is a burial ground. I would want that property completely searched and properly place any remains. I would absolutely turn it into a memorial to honor the victims.
Lindsey Blake is an absolute amazing prosecutor and a hero for the victims Tammy....Tylee ...and JJ along with her super team combined to bring to fruition Chad getting the death penalty.....and definitely well deserved.
Our judicial system sure could use a whole lot more Lindsey Blake's to take criminals to task and to pay for their insidious crimes.
I watched the trial live on CZcams on a true crime channel called
"It's A Crime" with Linda ...the channel creator ....she is amazing and super intelligent and a strong advocate for victims of crime. There was about an average of 2,500 people every day watching the trial on her channel and when we would see that Lindsey was going to be at the helm ....
we all got excited and said...
"Ohhhh this is gonna be good!!
Go get him Lindsey!!" 💪

I watched every single minute of Chad Daybell's disgusting....deplorable and infuriating case. With Lindsey at the helm for getting justice ..... he didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning his case. She was so professional and refreshing and maintained it throughout the trial...
..unlike John Prior. Dear God don't get me started on him and his VERY unprofessional behavior. He was more of witness than anyone on the witness stand. I knew Chad was guilty from the start...but what really did it for me as far as his true character coming through was the jailhouse phone call between him and Lori when they were gighling and laughing about the murders ...albeit in code....their favorite thing.... absolutely infuriated me when i heard that phone call especially.
He was so smug and above everyone else in the court room and i think he truly believed that he would win his case. Both Lori's and Chad's trials both came out the way it should have. Lori and her statement was disgusting to hear. It's awful that Tylee and JJ had her for a mother. All of the victims in this case were taken far too soon. Tylee and JJ and the details of their deaths was beyond horrific... absolutely heartbreaking. And so getting guilty verdicts on all of the counts for Chad was appropriate and the death penalty... absolutely.
Thank you Lindsey for being the voice for Tammy and Tylee and JJ.
You do your job well and i know future cases will have great endings as well. I hope that Charles gets his due justice. Long overdue. Also Brandon Beaudreaux as well. I truly think had Chad and Lori not been stopped....there certainly would have been even more people killed.

Lindsay Blake is a superstar!! She did such a awesome job on both cases. I would like to say congratulations on another term. I found Lindsay and Rob both worked so hard for justice for the families of the victims. I have always heard you don't do misdeeds in your own backyard!! Surprised that Chad and Lori thought they would not be noticed by LE with all the murder and mayhem they caused. If the kids were put in Yellowstone or wooded area do you think they would have ever been caught???
That house is not worth $350k, especially since there were 3 murdered people, and the place is run down. I don’t think it will sell

I think the form that Chad signed before he was taken away by the sheriff deputies to transfer him to prison, that John Prior had him sign was actually a 'Quit Claim' to the property. He in essence signed it over to John to liquidate so that John could get paid for his services. It was done conditionally... John would get the property if Chad was found guilty. So that may be why John really didn't provide adequate representation for Chad. But Chad made his choice, and the judge made sure, for the record, that he was aware of what he was doing. That's going to eliminate one avenue of appeal on Chad's part.
So, if Chad were found not guilty, Chad would keep the property and Prior would be paid how? Chad had no money left to pay him either way. What, in youe opinion, would have been a more adequate representation that Prior could have provided? Just curious as to what your thoughts are.
The property was in John's name before the trial already.

There is no death penalty with a conspiracy crime. She will serve out her sentence in ID before she would serve any time in AZ.

Death penalty was never on the table for the AZ trial. 2 charges of conspiracy to commit murder (Charles and Brandon) punishable by 25 yrs to life
The only way it would be death penalty is if the prosecution added more charges and charged her with actual murder and not just conspiracy to commit.
Okay again I come into this interview with an open mind. The first thing that comes to mind... she's very smart... a truth teller. She seems to be an outstanding leader. In closing all I can say is this woman will have a very successful career. Whether that be a firm of her own or voted into office again.

Listening to Lindsey here, brings it home the sheer amount of work that goes into such a momentous case - all the little things you have to bring to the table, to make a clear and concise prosecution case, is quite a feat. I can't imagine the feeling of exhaustion she must have experienced in putting the case together, AND having a baby in between!! I will never forget Lindsey in this and Lori's case, for her sheer professionalism, grace and tenacity. Her mother must be so proud of her💖⚖👩⚖
