What happened?
If you watch a video that’s filmed from the public, you can hear the Spanish crowd sing along very loudly with La Noia, word for word; they sang along with practically everything, but I had the impression that Baby Lasagna and Angelina Mango got the most feedback from the crowd. Great atmosphere, well done Madrid!

I feel sorry for those artists who don't have a huge team behind them and are put under so much pressure from the public that it can affect their performance. The public often forgets how much work has to be done till May and not all of the artists are already established stars.
Your criticism is so much more sensitive than some of the comments in media and actually it's the kind of criticism what artists should hear so as not to be unsettled. I think this year all artists have potential and i hope they all will enjoy their performance in May.

I am shocked by the amount of negative comments, this year there is a lot of hate in the comments on all songs, singers, on all videos, blogs and portals... I'm glad that from now on the slogan of Eurovision is "united by music" because it really should be like that, I wish all those spreaders of excessive negative energy to calm down and enjoy Eurovision, this year is one of the best! I love almost every song! The competition will be super tense, but we will have fun, we will all sing and dance together! Dear Noosh, keep up your work, it's a pleasure to listen to you! I agree with you. This Eurovision should overshadow rivalry and competition, but it should just be a big party to give the opportunity to meet many good artists who exist beyond our national borders.

I think the problem with Ukraine is that you have two incredible performers on stage performing a duet but it seems more like they are each doing their own rather than cooperating.
You probably know it, but you have such an amazing voice, Noosh!! I honestly wanna see you dabble in music and, who knows, maybe even represent the UK or Armenia one day lol (and I'm being serious)

I agree! Shane and Noosh are my favorites! (I love Tom too, but he seems in a league of his own with all his number crunching. Eurovision season is my escape from reality too. I can already see a big depression in may after big finale.
I'm glad that this year there are 5 potential winners at the Bets. Croatia - the best energy; Ukraine - the most beautiful song; Netherlands - best visuals; Italy - Summer hit and Switzerland - best vocalist. Unfortunately, Croatia won't win (I wish I’m wrong), Europe simply doesn't like us, even though Marko gets a lot of love at these preparty concerts.
Serbia and France are also contenders
The thing with Baby Lasagna is, he got adopted by the obnoxious Kaarija fans and overhyped. His song isn't really too spectacular, though it's not a bad entry. Not a worthy winner in my opinion. And I do feel his momentum slowing down - he peaked too early!

Hi, i hope you doing well. You miss PORTUGAL, and i think that is normal., i learned that in Eurovision, the people prefer Circus Show, and not TRUE ART AND MUSIC. And last pre party in Madrid, Iolanda not only a beautiful heart and purity that she have, but and MOST IMPORTANT, was THE BEST VOCALS of the NIGHT!!!! I hope that the can start looking the Eurovision Song Contest with more seriousness. And so do need many others also be in top🙄. Luckily usually those who rank lower they sell more and be more successfull than is the winner in the future. Most ESC winners came only a shooting star.

Hey Noosh, from my section of the crowd I felt like Switzerland was the standout and went down the best, and then of course Spain, San Marino and Italy, but beyond the obvious, Belgium (despite inner ear issues) was great and went down well in the crowd. Baby Lasagna of course went down well and you could really see his confidence growing as he performed, which was a delight to witness. There were a number of artists that had sound issues, talked with some who were annoyed about it after, but overall the performances were MUCH better than last year's Madrid pre-party car crash. So I think we're good this year. Titbits of info from the scene:
- Raiven is very much aware of the need to convey the meaning of Veronika better, so hoping for good staging from Slovenia for that
- Isaak from Germany is one of the funniest and coolest guys you will ever meet and you will not stop laughing if you interview him in Malmo - I highly recommend
- Bambie is purposefully not using their full vocal range at the pre-parties because they're a bit worried they'll sacrifice in pre-parties and not be on top form in Malmo.
- Mustii actually didn't think he sounded great as mentioned, but he damn well did - he's also the most amazing guy, hyper but super fun
- Nemo - talk about puppy energy. And yes, when I was listening to that live it SCREAMED winner to me. More than any other song.
- Aiko had a lot of inner ear issues which was unfortunate
- I'm worried about Slovenia's qualification chances - a death slot in SF1, with such a strong first half, but luckily Iceland after so...yea...I'm not counting it out and I love the song, they just really really really need to get the message across that Raiven is NOT portraying a witch.
- Saba is sooooooo lovely and I love the song and I don't care what anyone says :D

Fun fact, Marcus & Martinus even won Masked Singer in Sweden 2022 (they switched each performance so the jury thought it was just one person lol) and yes, their voices are amazing. I really wished they would sing more ballads, I think their voices actually suit that very well. They are such professionals when it comes to performing (I mean, have been doing that since being 12 years old) and they could deliver a great performance with no staging at all.

The pre-party in Madrid was a real success because it gave the opportunity to make the artists better known through interviews and to remove the atmosphere of competition by just having a party. We also had the chance to discover that some of these singers are really nice and funny. Out of sympathy I would highlight Nemo (Switzerland), Baby Lasagna (Croatia), Ladaniva (Armenia), Sarah Bonnici (Malta), Mustii (Belgium) because we saw them singing and playing together and exchanging songs.

I tried listening to Nemo in the car, it didn't work. Some parts of the songs just don't work for me.
It's the only song I need to skip, nothing wrong with it, just style that I apparently don't enjoy. I can see why music intellectuals would like it though.
