The International Paystar (also known as 5000e and PayStar) is a series of trucks that was manufactured by International Harvester and its successor, Navistar International. Produced from 1973 to 2017 across three generations, the Paystar replaced the long-running 210/230 and M-series. Developed for both on and off-road use, the Paystar was the largest commercially-marketed product range sold by International, intended for vocational applications (primarily construction-related). For 2017, the Paystar underwent a substantial redesign, becoming the International HX series.
History
The PayStar was introduced by International Harvester in January 1972 as a construction-specific version of the conventional Transtar.
From 1972 through 1980, it was offered in two ranges: the 5050 with mid-range engines and the 5070 with heavy duty engines. Available in 4×4, 6×4, and 6×6 configurations[a], they were usually straight trucks but most offered trailer brake options. Semi tractors were also available.
By 2013, the PayStar was commonly a semi tractor although straight truck applications were still offered. Severe service straight truck applications were handled by the Workstar series, which offered no semi-tractors. In 2013 the PayStar is only offered as a 6×4 or 8×6 with high horsepower engines. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Great kit and great presentation! Wish Round 2 would reintroduction the Paystar Logging Truck kit, built it as a kid, a fantastic kit from decades ago!!! Make it happen Round 2!!!
We actually had a International Paystar in the Seabees when I was in 78-83. Nice kit. I bet it cost more than 10 dollars. Back in the day I bought the DM 800 kit for around 10 dollars. The Ertl kits were the best back in the day. In fact ,it had a automatic transmission in it.
I've never built a Simi truck before but everytime you show one I think about it but I just don't have the room to show it

Master builders.... Well speaking for myself, I've learned a lot from you Chris and I'm sure a lot of us have too. I know you have to build these kits post haste but maybe for us it's sometimes good to know a way to quicken the pace a bit. For example. because of what your channel has shown me, I always use rattle cans for the primer. Works perfectly fine and saves a great deal of time and of course the cleaning of the airbrush. I don't know, I don't have to build a kit under a time frame so to me it's a combo of techniques. HPIguys has been a terrific resource finding that balance.

I went to the local International dealer and bought my model trucks,they were a lot less from the dealer than the hobby shops

I cannot recall ever having seen this kit (International Paystar 5000 Dump Truck). I would have liked pairing it with the Tri-Axle Gravel Trailer 1:25th-scale plastic model kit, also originally from Ertl (AMT/Round2Models Model Kit 8628).
When will you make build video? Would you also be considering the Tri-Axle Gravel Trailer kit? It would be a serious attention-grabber amongst truck modellers to combine them.
I look forward to seeing a build of this one - I must say that this kit has one of the most comprehensive looking instruction sheets I've seen for a truck model from any manufacturer.

It’s a reissue of an old Ertl kit. He’s not built this particular kit here but he’s done a few dump truck kits before. This kit doesn’t really do anything new, so to speak, that the other dump truck kits do.
