Back in the late 80's, my high school football coach carried tampons around and handed them to any player that whined or complained about hurting or pain. He would just walk up an say "you need this more than I do". Times were different then, lol
That's back when a coach could grab you by the face mask tell you you messed up explain what you need to do to fix it and to get back on that field. And we were more than happy to say yes sir and go out there and give them 100% good times

â@@Draconlykos entirely correct but back when it was perceived as girls being girly because periods weren't talked about in public, unless it was for a sanitary towel advert or tampon advert, where they are showing a beautiful woman in white jeans, cycling, rollerblading and generally having a fun day. So it all added up to girls moaning about their periods so pathetic, because they didn't know any different, no one told them otherwise. It was all very archaic.
