- When waiting for my mom to take me back home, I started to hear familiar sounds of the 4003EC voice evacuation message from a distance, and then the Spectralert Horns went off a few seconds later.
It turns out there was some food in the microwave in P3, which is my classroom caused the false alarm. I used the microwave to make popcorn the same day as this and nothing happened. - Věda a technologie
The Spectralert Advances setup is similar to my High School except it's a Gamewell FCI E-3 system and Spectralert HRK's are all over campus.

my school's cafeteria fire alarms (wheelock ASes) randomly went off after school on a random friday. FD had to come and silence the panel.

@@LAFAALS it happens often with Spectralert Advances trying to adapt to panel coding. Especially when the installers may put the alarms on “continuous”. This is something that also happens at my school
that usually happens when the panel is set to Code 3 with a device that has a code 3 option selected. it cant complete the whole cycle since the panel catches up to it before the device can so it causes a sudden cut in power creating that sound
the fire alarm went off at school about 10 times at 8th grade lunch this year 😭
Why? It is very likely that something in the cafeteria that caused those false alarms.
@@LAFAALS yes the lunch ladies started a fire twice plus the water flow switch activated multiple times because the sprinklers were old and worn and decided to break

The bathrooms in this area has a Simplex Truealert "Remote" Strobe. But the bathrooms in classroom buildings have Simplex Truealert Speaker/Strobes

I swear I didn't pull the fire alarm. Apparently in my classroom, a school staff member cooked a pretzel in the microwave and burnt it, activating the smoke detector, which in turn activates the fire alarm.
@@LAFAALSyea I understand. Back when I was in school the fire alarm always went off when the teacher burned toast 💀
I’ll gladly take the simplex truealert over the spectralert advance any day of the week!
The System Sensors were loud from up close, but from a distance, it wasn't that loud.
