    This is a great little device for adding real sounds to your model. It holds two ‘model’ memories and each of those model memories can hold one engine sound and two additional auxiliary sounds. The unit comes preloaded with the sounds we show in the video.

    Thanks for great review as always . . Be nice if there was more sounds available for this sound generator . . Merry Xmas

    Given the size and complexity of a model this is likely to be used in SBUS input would be nice since channels out of the reciever are usually at a premium in PPM setups. Being able to select the second set of sounds remotely would be nice too.
    Can't think of anything better than a nice large Spit with a roaring Merlin on a low pass.

    I do like the idea of the product. toyed around with the idea myself a few years ago. great vid. now we need some decent reliable smoke system to go with it ;-)

    Great video again sir! Thanks for that :)
    Do you know if the middle piece of the speaker allso needs to be stuck to the same surface as the outer ring?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 7 lety

      +DutchRC Adventures we just stuck the other ring to the side of the model. Seemed to work fine. Happy flying!

      Do you need to mount the speaker over a hole to allow the sound to come out?

    Hi, Thanks for yet another great video. Can you fit it to the inside of FMS foamies?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 5 lety

      Depends on the foamie. You will need a decent surface to mount it against..

    Fantastic, now I can make my quadcopter sound like a tank! ; )

      @Painless360  Před 8 lety

      +M390VI Now that's something I'd like to see! ;)

    • @just1moregun
      @just1moregun Před 8 lety

      +M390VI - I don't believe those are speakers, but rather, transducers. They use your airframe as a speaker to put out the sound. Consequently, they create a lot of vibration. At least the sound system I have that looks similar to this one uses transducers and they produces a lot of vibration in my airplane. That is not a problem for the airplane, but I think it would completely overwhelm the sensors in a quad's flight controller given how sensitive they are to vibrations.

    Hi banggood, the ess one is not loud enough. Can I download car sound to this system?

  • @MicroRCFiend
    @MicroRCFiend Před 8 lety

    How much does the system weigh, specifically the speakers? I never really held much interest for these modules but the the idea of an overpowered 250 with a massive engine noise is compelling and would be pretty fun to play with.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 8 lety

      +MicroRCFiend The weight is on the listing on Banggood.com. Sadly it maybe a little heavy for the smaller quads ;)

    • @MicroRCFiend
      @MicroRCFiend Před 8 lety

      Thanks, yeah it s a little weighty for a 250 unless speakers could be changed for something lighter.
      Out of interest, what would be needed if a CP heli pilot wished it to work for pos and neg pitch? Any mixing or maybe it would still work plug and play?

      Adds about 120g. I have it in my p-51, it is awesome.

    As it is the ESS AIR, does it work with car sounds as well, with reverse? Thanks

  • @superdau

    Is there any way to add your own sounds? Or is it another throwaway-when-manufacturer-page-down thing?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 8 lety

      +superdau Looks like it, but only for the Aux sounds..

  • @thenatedog

    They have like 13 planes now. The me262 sound is awesome.

      +Painless360 no url, it's in the software. You have to sign in and go to the store.

    Hello Sir I'm back, Sorry to bother you again. I still cant get the ESS AIR to work. However I have contacted the retailer and they sent me this message (Our supplier have watched the video and they said you didn't set the channel of the software. Please download the second sound file just as you did to ESS ONE) Unfortunately this makes no sense to me as I cant find a secondary download file. So I was hopping you new what they mean. Regards George.

    Can i record messages on it? Flying up to dogowners telling them to pick up after the dog....

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 8 lety

      +petfrogg The aux sounds look like they can be anything but the engine sounds are specially formatted so that the noise of the engine can be created 'on-the-go' from the device itself..

      +Painless360 hm... then at least I can fool my neighbors if i make my quad sound like a lawnmower

      Oh yes, I have a set. It is hopeless as compared to MrRC Sound V4.1!!! My honest, unbiased opinion is, don't waste your money on it! Pay extra more to get the whole lot better one...
