  • Hey there and welcome to this step by presentation on how to build your own iontophoresis device, effectively stopping your sweating hands and feet from their endless perspiration.
    If you wish to purchase a professional iontophoresis machine I recommend you visit → dermadry.com
    An iontophoresis machine is used to treat excessive sweating by delivering a low-level current of electricity, using electrodes and a conductive gel. In this video, I show you how to build your own tap water iontophoresis machine by buying all the parts needed online and putting it together.
    Feel free to ask questions!

    I've been doing this for over a year on my palms and it definitely works for me. It took 1-2 weeks for my hands to be sweat free. I now only have sweaty palms when I'm really hot or really nervous. I replace my batteries like every 2-3 months? And you can also give more time in between treatments once ur hands stop sweating excessively. Like instead of doing it everyday, do it every other day, every 2 days etc. I do 10 minutes and then switch wires and do another 10 minutes. I don't add anything, just plain warm tap water works for me. Make sure to apply Vaseline on any cuts to prevent stinging. I haven't noticed any side affects. My hands did itch a lot for the first 2 weeks I did it and then it got better. If ur hands are really dry (which will happen after a while) then skip the treatment that day because it will sting. Overall I definitely recommend it to anyone who suffers from hyperhydrosis, you just have to take out 20 minutes from ur day, I like to watch an episode or some CZcams videos while I do it and the time flies :) hope this helps any of u with questions about it!

I use hot tap water though, took me 1 week and a half till I achieved full dryness. Our water is also quite hard so that helped heaps didn’t need to add baking soda or salt. My twin sister has the exact same problem (palmar hyperhidrosis) so she is going to try this treatment after my success. I'm so happy.

      Badger Glands sure what questions do you have? I did everything exactly like the video. Not sure if he mentions it but only fill the pans up about half way because the more water the more of a jolt when you put your hands in. When the pans are only half filled you barely feel the tingle when you first put your hands in. Also, if you spill water on the edges of the pan it’ll irritate your wrists where they touch so try not to get any water on the pan edges. Even if you do nothing has ever hurt its just a tingle. I was scared at first too but you learn as you go what works best for you. The biggest problem I have now are my hands are too dry on top so I put aquaphor on them like he recommends. I can link you to everything on amazon if you need

      Badger Glands I’m far from a doctor so I can’t really judge your condition. I can tell you no I didn’t sweat 100% of the day but it happened often with no triggers. Often enough that I thought about it daily and when something like nerves or weather would trigger it it would be bad. In my opinion if it’s to the point where you’ve built this device and are asking questions like you are then probably give it a shot. If you don’t like it when you stop the treatment your hands will gradually return to normal after a couple weeks

    This device worked for me. I saw the results in about 12 days, first few days at 12V than 18V. The only thing I added on my setup is those kind of plastic sink rugs at the bottom of the pans so that the hands aren't in direct contact with the pans (in my opinion, much more comfortable than have the hands hover in the water).

    To those who are still having trouble with your sweaty palms or wtever, just be patient coz it might take weeks before it starts to get dry.
    And for your reference I used two 9V batteries (18V in total, mAh and Amp doesn't matter) connected in series, switching polarity every 10 minutes and a total of 40 minutes every night. I used to do it 20 minutes a night but the results are not very satisfying so I doubled the time and it got better.

    Tried this today while at work, doing just a couple minutes at a time, as time would allow. I can already tell the difference. I'm amazed how well it is already working. As a child, I picked up a plugged in tube bass guitar amp my dad had built, but never put a bottom on, leaving the guts exposed underneath. Got myself quite a shock that day, as in violently convulsing and screaming uncontrollably. This is nothing, by comparison. I used a motorcycle battery. You can feel it. Kind of feels like many little mild pin pricks. I did got quite a little jolt while reversing polarity on my feet, because I left them immersed and switched the terminals on the battery. Change then immerse to avoid this. I could feel a spike all the way up to my knees. Reversing polarity is the most intense part.

    The best time to do your treatment is towards the evening when the weather has cooled. I did mine usually around 8 pm each night.
    For best results, before treatment, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm/hot water to get rid of oils, sweat, dirt, etc.
    I did my treatment every single day starting from April 3, 2013.
    On Day 6, I used salt water. Add one full teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water and stir to dissolve the salt. Add to each pan.

      @@mohini6329 It wears off after a while. Once you do your initial 7 or so zaps, your hands will stay dry for a few weeks, and then if you do it maybe once every 2 weeks they will stay dry. But it's a pain, literally and figuratively. It's 20 minutes of pain and boredom. I do it for a few months and then I forget about it and the sweating comes back. If you're diligent with it though, it really does work. You won't see results until about the 5th time through; but you should do it about 7 or 8 times (once a day) just to be sure. Then you can tone it down to once every 2-3 weeks; whenever your hands start to get a little damp it's time to do it again. You have to be ok with it hurting. It looks like you are doing everything right. We are different in many ways so for some the treatment works in a few days, and for others it may take a while longer (mine took about two weeks). The key is to persist in doing the treatment, never skipping a day. Also, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before each treatment.

    Thank you! I've had HH for 30 years. I couldn't afford a machine or botox shots. If this works, it will be so wonderful! I learned many tricks over the years to avoid people touching my hands. However, tricks like a hug over a handshake won't work in all situations. Job interviews, church, funeral services, nail salons, etc are all mandatory hand touching. Church was always my worst fear 😨 because the pastor would almost always say, "turn around and greet your neighbor", which always meant trying to hide wiping my palms before a handshake and wondering if the other person felt any dampness. And, heaven forbid the, "Okay, everyone I want you to hold hands with the person next to you." = emergency bathroom break for me. I usually told anyone who noticed my sweaty hands, "My body's cooling system works a little bit too good" and then chuckle about it. Covid-19 has put a temporary end to the anxiety of people trying to touch or shake my hands. But, if this works I won't have to use avoidance techniques or humor anymore. Looking forward to the results and feeling free to give a nice firm handshake 🤝 whenever I want 😀!

      Abir T kinda. doctor's took 2 years+ to get back to me on iontophoresis. I stopped the one I made because it was just not worth the shock, stress and effort. my new GP gave me Lyrinel XL 5Mg (I think) and it was amazing works wonders I'm on 4 tablets a day and it works 24 hours I sweat maybe 5% what I did (I'm fairly certain I have one of the worst cases of hyperhidrosis ever it's borderline superpower put out fires type shit so Lyrinel is amazing. just makes my mouth dry up but it's not so bad. anyway ya I'm alive and it's 2am and I probably shouldn't reply to this I'm so warm someone help

      hey i have a question, which amp 12v battery we need to buy?? there r many available 5 A, 7A, 9A IN 12V

    • @gadgetsage
      @gadgetsage Před 3 lety

      I would think because instead of the relatively larger surface area of your hand submerged, when you remove it, there's going to be a small final connection that breaks resulting in the shock.
      Maybe have a string you could pull a connection loose with your teeth or a toe before removing your hands from the water?

    Sameh, 6 days is quite short. Keep on doing it daily. It took 14 days for me to get really good results.

  • @GeorgeOtieno
    @GeorgeOtieno Před 11 lety

    I did this procedure last year and got a good result, the only problem is that I had to do it for over 3 weeks to obtain dry palms. I would suggest buying HIDREX PSP 1000 Iontophoresis Machine which give very high currents (equivalient of 12 car batteries) for good results

    Thanx care necesario and Keith Schulze for your thoughts.Keith Schulze,yes I change my batteries almost every week,or10days to be sure,though at the beginning I was using them for a month and a half.Now I have completed2weeks and still my hands are sweating, but only20-30%,but the worst are my feet!They sweat almost 60-70%!The only time I got both of them dry,was when I first used it,5months ago.Now it seems I can't do it again,I think I must accept the fact that I will sweat for all of my life.

  • @simplelifehomesteadbccanad4844

    Thanks a lot for the info. This sounds like a very reasonable thing to do. Incredibly happy with the results....this is life changing and I mean that literally because the profession I want to enter deal a lot with people contact. Thanks.

    Here's what I did:
    1. I bought two stainless steel shallow pie pans (10 inch diameter to fit my hands) and four 6 V Rayovac Lantern batteries from Walmart. ( I live in the US). The batteries are in the autos section at the back of the store near the hunting goods. Ask for Lantern batteries.
    2. I bought two pairs of test leads from AutoZone. ( just go to the counter and tell the assistant you want to buy test leads with alligator clips at the ends). They have them all the time.

    My hands are fully dry... pretty unbelievable, first time since 6th grade. If anyone has questions feel free to PM... I'm no expert but I can try answering your questions. At first I thought this was some sort of gimmick to help advertise something..... but this is the real deal. And I don't mean to be over sensationalizing things, but I had the worst case of palmar hyperhydrosis (aka sweaty hands) that I have ever read or heard about. So I can vouch for this as a normal dude.
