They used to be much better, when ITW bought them out things haven't been the same I think twice on so much now days before buying anything. Investors keep buying our brands and colors, knowing a huge portion of buyers are unsuspecting and brand loyal, I love my vintage blue, the "true blue" welders.

I just purchased a Hypertherm 45xp on Friday. I had to replace my Chinese built one. It only lasted 6 weeks. Like my brother said "I am to poor to buy junk". Oh well live and learn. Why a Hypertherm , I think you know the answer . It is the best money can buy.

I own a Hypertherm 45XP it's been great on my plasma table, I cut clean 3/4" Steel plate circles with it just fine. Jim Colt saw my video on it. I would like to step up to the Powermax 85 someday, I'm curious why the Lincoln and TD aren't shown here, they would be up there with the Hypertherm.

I suggest doing your homework people before taking your hard earned money, and possibly using this video as your souce before purchasing,
Hypotherm yes, but Miller over priced and not a legit contender in real world plasma, really Hobart....Where is Thermal Dynamics, HTP, Lincoln, no European makes, well actally all HTP products are.
Great video production, but from fabshop, and production view only the Hypotherm, perhaps a sugestion a list for profesionals and one for DIY or hobby, such a massive difference in price and performance. Thanks for your time and editing, I know it takes time, and I value that!

I’m a welder- fabricator most of my adult life , I have used almost all kinds of plasma cutting torches , hands down. The hypetherm is the best out there , specially the 45xp, where I work we have 5 of those units, and we have tried all other brands , for what we do there the best , I recommend for your home use , the hypetherm 30xp ,I have one at home I think it’s the smallest unit they make , you can cut 1/2” metal , I paid $1300, for the 30xp this was 3 years ago , I think the 45xp goes for about $ 2200
