To be fair, it's pretty easy for national guys to miss some of the nuances of what the Wolves have to offer because there's so many games to watch. As clumsy as he is, it's easy to forget Kat still has the ability to get in a rhythm and score 25-40 points a game from all over the place. He has not done this in these playoffs for many reasons - including the fact that he is still recovering from knee surgery and is getting his conditioning and confidence back. However, if he and Ant both go for 30 plus and the defense holds up as it has for much of the year, the team could really be a handful. That's in no way intended to be disrespectful to the great team that Joker runs so well, but I don't think the champs had an excuse for losing two straight home games in front of their great fans in that thin air and familiar surroundings.
Didn't we just do this? It's up to the Nuggets to adjust. As for the Knicks beating the Celtics, uhh, how about the Pacers first?
These shows are all pointless, to be honest. Two days ago he was talking about the Nuggets vs Celtics in the finals, 4 day before that it was the Timberwolves in the finals. All of these shows are just bait.
We hoped for an epic series and boy oh boy it did NOT disappoint.
Crazy ups and downs, crazy performances followed by total duds... This series has it all! 👍👏🔥🔥
Jokic is STILL inevitable.
He'll prove it tomorrow!
You hope he does
He has a vertical jump of a rat. He's big, he's a great, great passer, but he isn't inevitable
But still will lose...
After getting HANDLED by Karl Anthony Towns and Naz Reid TWICE in a series you'd think you guys would realize or rather REMEMBER how the Lakers, Warriors and Suns SWEPT him just a few years ago. But no, you're still desperate for him to be something he's not.
@@TheGreatness-gg1jxHe has also torched both of those guys in the series. I think the down moments are more outliers determined by total team effort than anything else. I think you might be more desperate for him to not be what he is, which is one of the best players in the league.
Switches every day with you guys
This going to be like the last scene of The Grey lol crazy
I love your courage to speak up and share your thoughts even when they are "polarizing."
Without that, there is no high quality analysis, great job!
For the blowouts in the Min-Den series, one thing that I wish commentators would note is Minnesota has a huge advantage when their defense can play physical, but a lot of that is dependent on how tight or loose the refs are with calling fouls, so the game style for some of the games is often determined by the refs, which often heavily favors one team or the other a lot more than in any any other playoff series I can remember in recent years. This despite the calls being pretty consistently applied to both teams pretty much every game this series (unlike what seems like every Knicks game this year in the playoffs).
11:50 Jason, what you're describing is finding your life's task. When you find it, it excites you and it makes you feel like a kid. And the child like curiosity and desire to learn penetrates your mind. And it's very healthy for your well-being to let that purposeful energy from your childhood flow. So it's great that you did that. Check out the book mastery by Robert Greene, he talks about that
I think that you would love “Cowboy Bebop”: there is deep world creation, amazing characters, great irony and storytelling and a lot of blues…
9:30 I’ve always felt we were similar, but that blows my mind because my parents favorite band is the Allman brothers. I got to see them when I was like nine years old at the Rosemont theater in the suburbs of Chicago. Rip Dickey Betts man
T-Wolves are a much better team with Conley back in the lineup. It gives the team veteran leadership, poise, and execution in the clutch. Game seven will be a coin flip
Conley only missed game 5… he played 3 and 4
On the guitar front, you may find inspiration in Matteo Mancuso! I've been playing nearly 40yrs and still love it.
It’ll come down to whether the teams get to actually play defense or not…🤷🏽♂️
Is the best player title just year by year? Feels like no one can hold that title for even 2 yrs in a row. I remember Bron was best player for about 8-10yrs straight.
Jokic has been the best player in the world for the past 4 or so years now people just refused to acknowledge it until about 2 years ago
@@SaintJ92That’s a stretch Giannis was better 2020-2022, the nba is too volatile and so much variance happens now that players can lose their spot as best player anytime now.
@@KxngAntTae not 2022, but 2021 for sure
@@KxngAntTae 2022 , 23 , 24 joker is the best player going into 25 i don't see anyone dethroning him.
@@berlin4103 I get what u tryna say but let’s not forget bout Giannis in 2022 what he did against a dominate Celtics defense when his second best player was hurt Bucks had no business pushing that series to 7 but Giannis was on another level.
Timberwolves fans should be the last one’s to argue that regular season matchups mean anything
Vs. Suns in the reg season: 0-3
Vs. Suns in the playoffs: 4-0
Wolves exposed in game 3 and 4.... wait I've seen this before!
Don't mean to take anything away from Wolves as they're my 2nd fav team behind the Nuggies. But quite frankly every single loss dating back to R1 has been Nugs beating themselves more than they got beaten, except for G1 which was more competitive.
Whatever problem this team has just seems so mental. It's like their focus are so sporadic and they aren't even present to play ball, or know what's actually at stake; kind of like what you said post G2. Murray seems to be THE visual representation of this problem, like he was never really "there".
They may have played shit teams barring Suns last year but their focus seemed way tighter and conjoined as a unit. Similar thing when they dropped G2 to Heats in Finals they just fucking slacked off. Ofc a large part of it was due to Wolves being an insanely great team that it could pick apart and expose that weakness, unlike the Lakers. The way the Wolves dropped G3, 4, 5 seemed like the other way, where the Nugs beat them but at least they felt cohesive and focused as a singular unit.
Quite frankly even if they get out of this series alive, unless they fix that mental disunity they have it'll just be the same shit again. If they must lose I'd have more fun seeing so after giving their truly best than whatever boring garbage G2, 6 and the entirety of R1 was.
Love your Bronny take. Describes the Lebron dichotomy perfectly. Although I would say that there is a disproportionate amount of people who hate on Lebron. Just take a look at the comments section of any of those "start one, bench one, cut one" type posts on social media.
Yo how do u send in questions?
Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers are blues GOAT status 🐐
Mailbag question: you say you don’t have Tatum as a top tier superstar. Can you honestly assess how much of that is because he’s been on great teams? I don’t mean to sounds like a Tatum Stan but in my opinion he is harshly criticized because he’s been on great teams and those teams seemed like they underachieved. But in reality people don’t understand how important experience is and how young he was.
It’s just confusing because yesterday you talked about how good his decision making was in the crunch time and how it won them the game in their final playoff game against Cleveland. But then you use that against him saying he doesn’t take charge like top tier superstars… but in reality he’s making the smart basketball play. Where is the line? He’s on a stacked team so of course he’s making sacrifices for everyone else but the important thing is he’s stepped up in other areas specifically defense and rebounding.
I tend to agree with you in this sense, how is Tatum in his like 7th ecf and not a top tier guy? Regardless of his team's talent level he's always been the number one. I think he's penalized for losing as a young leader in ecf while other guys don't gt that far and lose in the same fashion but it's not on a big stage like the conf finals. At the end of the day Tatum is top 5-8 guy depending who you ask and the year. He's accomplished everything but mvp and finals mvp. To me this is the year he will define his legacy. If he wins this year next year they will probably give him mvp if he has another great year if he loses people will be settled on him being on the runner up superstar tier
@@xaviershelviejohnson5771 absolutely agree. This season is everything to his legacy. I know how great Denver is and they have pretty much the defacto best player in the league but with this team he should absolutely win the championship. But regardless at worst he’s the 7th best player in the league, to me that’s a superstar
@@brockjensen2473 yep. I got him 7th too and I had denver in 7 vs Boston for the title so we'll see but for sure he'll have no excuse if they don't get it done this year. And changes will be made in Boston I think losing udoka really hurt them guys too and nobody talks about it.
the first tier gets it done that easy - and the fact that he was often so close is getting to the point that more and more people dont believe it will happen anymore - the fact that he achieved all this while beeing pretty young while other players are loosing gives hope that he has still time to figure out how to take over when it counts consistently
@@denigster exactly my thoughts it's do or die this year especially afterthe cake walk to the finals after all the injuries.
Kareem was a huge jazz fan, he felt there was a symbiosis between a great melody and a great sequence in a basketball game. I agree.
What do think of Zach Edey showing off his 3 point skill, 2 point shot of the bounce, dribbling and mobility a long with being a absolute beast and would already be like the biggest strongest player in NBA when he comes in at 22?
Also if your fan of story I don't know if you read books but there is a series called the Bound and Broken by Ryan Cahill and is like the next Lord of Rings and Wheel of Time series that is amazing and will talked about for decades you should read amazing Story and also the Will of the Many!
Hi, if you like fantasy based that has deep story building, I recommend anime Berserk Golden Age. A little violent but that's what makes it so realistic.
I have a mailbag question bro!! When’s the merch dropping
Get a life “brooo”
Regarding all Wolves-related questions; it might be good to point out they have the best defense in the league when talking about their odds 🤷🏻♂️
Allowing gorbert to play off of jokic is key thats how he won dop. Being the best off ball defender and help defender
Going to be exactly like the Suns Mavs game 7 tomorrow. Wolves by about 50. Series is very similar to that one.
Every video that Jason talks about the Wolves goes the same...he "gives them credit" and then proceeds to make an explanation about how they're not really that good. He's clearly got a distaste for their play style.
Keep discounting the Nuggets! 😂 See y’all next year
I don't mind the nepotism about Bronny helping him get to the match early, but don't you think it hurts him in the long run, coming to the NBA so early when maybe his development as a player would be better if he stays through college? What's the point of getting to the NBA if you're not good enough to stay there?
This guy is reasonable, I kinda like his takes lol
Mailbag question - Thoughts on Stephen A's list of top 5 playoff runs by small guards (6'2'' and under)? I rarely take anything said on these shows too seriously, but this was just straight up BLASPHEMOUS!
1 - 2024 Brunson, 2 - 2016 Kyrie, 3 - 2019 Lillard, 4 - 2015 Curry, 5 - 2001 Iverson.
Even if we ignore the Knicks bias, this is exactly how dumb narratives are formed and maintained, such as Curry never showing up in the playoffs. Apparently he never did better than 2019 Lillard...
Do you think it's possible to reduce the amount of ridiculous things like this getting such a big platform? And what are your top playoff runs by small guards?
Iverson is#1 but I would throw 2022 Steph playoffs/title run in the top 5
I had the knicks getting to the finals before the playoffs even started, and while I’m not moving off that prediction yet, I am growing increasingly doubtful because of all the injuries
Yeah no, they had to go 7 games with the pacers
You mentioned anime in this mailbag video. If you’re looking for an anime equivalent to Star Wars, one piece would be perfect for you. Has some of the best world building in fiction as long as some of the most creative scenery and storylines. Something u should defo check out!
Yes we know our (nugs) flaws but we have also exposed the lack of offence wolves have also..
Boston is crazy overrated in terms of title contenders. Ant will take Tatums soul if they play each other and I'll be here for it. That's a six game series
lol Foh no
well said
The show was invincible
The ref crew that did game 2 and 6 for the denver t-wolves games, let them play physical and didn't call many fouls. T-wolves blew them out. The crews that blew the whistle led to foul trouble for t-wolves who couldn't defend as close and denver picked them apart. Will we see t-wolves with multiple players in foul trouble game 7? Or will they let them play. Denver wins easy if they blow the whistle, t-wolves win easy if they let them play.
Yea, this is just a really weak, lazy take.
Over half of the shots the Nuggets took were either “open” or “wide-open” shots, and they shot under 20% from 3 while shooting 30% from the field. This is way below regular season and playoff averages.
That has absolutely nothing to do with the refs.
Game 6 was called very similarly to the prior few games, just look at foul totals/free throws: 17 personal fouls against the Nuggets in game 5, 17 personal fouls against the Nuggets in game 6, versus 20 fouls against the Wolves in game 5 and 14 against them in game 6. Wolves benefitted from the whistle in game 6, for sure, but it’s very clear that the Nuggets just couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.
Anyone who thinks they’re missing that many open looks at Ball Arena in game 7 is high on hopium, regardless of what the refs are doing.
@@BurkeanGhostya'll lost by 50 and your takeaway is they had a poor shooting night? Yikes...I actually agree they had a poor shooting night and it will look different. But Minnesota had several poor shooting nights missing open looks and lost by 15 and 8 (all while Denver had several non-shooters shooting 50+%). The thing I'd be worry about if I were Denver is there isn't anyone besides Jokic who can generate any rim pressure or put the defense in rotation, which means you have to live on tough shots. Lived on them in games 3-5, does on them in game 6.
@@curbsidemusic Yikes all you want. Love watching the Wolves play and think they’re capable of giving the Nuggets a run for their money in an elimination game, but statistical outliers aren’t great logical platforms.
They will let them play through most foul calls. Especially if Marc Davis or Justin Van Duyne are refereeing game 7.
@@BurkeanGhost Won the 3 games while Justin Winslow, Reggie Jackson, AG and Christian Braun hit over 60% of their 3s. That is insane. The Wolves shot 46% FG and 37% from 3 and won by 45, shooting splits arent the end all be all.
So to continue with the Anthony Edwards / Kobe comparison. If Ant wins the title this year, does that make KAT Shaq?😜
1:34 -- I think Brunson's been amazing but not sure in terms of value I'd put him as a "Top 10 player in the league" yet. Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Embiid, Shai, Tatum, KD, Ant, Wemby, Mitchell I think all have better value over Brunson, but there's probably an argument for him with Booker/Bron/Steph/Maxey/etc. Brunson in the conversations fs but his regular season has been more impressive imo than 44/30/77 playoff splits on 27fga
Tatum 😂naw
So in the Celtics vs. Pacers or Knicks segment the reasons you mentioned the Knicks match up better against the Celtics are the exact reasons the Wolves are a tough out for the Celtics.
They're gigantic, they're physical, and they can make the game a grind it out slugfest and they'd have the best player in the series.
They’d have the best what?
surprise, surprise. teams with Identical records go to game 7. denver lost a great player, because they won a championship. they have an amazing starting 5 and thus lack depth.
Weren't they already exposed games 1 and 2?
@0:30👀
I disagree with Boston favorites over Minnesota. Tatum struggles vs athletic perimeter defenders. Any Man is by far the best player in that series.
We all come to the realization John Mayer is that guy eventually
Everybody should quit pretending that this is some sort of deep mystery being revealed. Back in training camp, anybody respecting reality knew that unless Pikket* became rookie of the year, point guard play would be the main obstacle to a repeat. History says without any doubt, Murray will be injured. History also says that Jackson will shock and dazzle you a few times, and then just leave you shaking your head, asking why did he just do that……? So, that was it in training camp, and now we have the probable outcome from that choice through the regular season. Murray has made 3 shots throughout the playoffs that prevent all he is responsible for in these playoffs, being put squarely in his lap. Motivated? Injured? About to shock the world with crazy acrobatic shots, that all seem to go in? Which Murray tomorrow night? On top of all that, other aspects of the team are being affected. MPJ looks like an intimidated middle schooler, Payton Watson thinks he’s in the dunk contest, instead of just putting the ball directly in the hoop. Zeek Njai*, zero contribution. The draft class? Just not NBA ready. Wishful thinking clouded everybody’s judgement, including mine, but factual, statistical evidence is in. Nuggets fans need their oligarch “governor” to spend some money, of which he would not even notice in his lifetime, or just waste the most impressive and potentially the greatest basketball player of all time….🙃🙃🙃
Boston is the Vegas favorite no matter what tbh
I know Ant is great in Minnesota but he’d be tougher in Miami. Ant + Heat culture would be somn dangerous…especially with Jimmy
I think the knicks are even more impressive now because they're managing to still hang in there with pretty much half the roster injured, I can't see a lot of other teams still managing to win games without their key players
There playing a team a that doesn't play any deffense and r also bigger can't even rebound or score off miss matched with how small the Knicks r 1 threw 4
@@roberthall1818 so what? They are still winning with bench players and Brunson. I dont see Denver winning anything without 3 starters, nor Boston.
@@DB-tk7yy that's the point the better teams would of knocked the Knicks out that's how bad the east is
@roberthall1818 you have a point, but I still believe even Boston would lose in the east without 3 key players. Sometimes, there is an x factor with some teams/players that play with their heart and soul that other teams/players will never be able to.
To get perspective to where trae young is . Compare him to vavnleet the last 2 years. The fact he doesn't touch van Vliet and vanvleet called mid by casual should tell you something
Anthony Edward isn’t 23
Kat is dropping 32 points

Jamal n MPJ need to step up or else they are going to Cancun . The bench was abysmal . Joker can’t win alone so they better come out swinging

You had that in 2017 when the Celtics tried really hard and then got pulverized by the Cavs when the games really mattered.
You Randle doesn't qualify?
Y’all say this every time they lose lmao. The wolves lost just as many games in this series as the nuggets lmfao but the Timberwolves figured it out? If they figured it out they would’ve won the series in 4 or 5. Stop it.
Pls use ur brain it’s clickbait he picked the nuggets to win
I mean it’s completely fair to say both teams exposed one another during the series. It’s all been about adjustments
He literally had a video said the Nuggets solved Twolves d defense not that deep
You must be a nugget fan to be all up in your feelings.
If the refs swallow the whistle Wolves win if they don't Nuggets win, it's pretty much as simple as that.
Invincible goated
the clickbait goes crazy
Game 7 nuggets by 7.
A healthy Knicks team wins a chip - easy!
jokic
Knicks before the playoffs absolutely could have made it to Finals and beat Celtics...now? not so much...they are just too hobbled w/ injuries.
Denver and TWs is obviously up for grabs....Sundays game 7 should be the closest game of the series and edge to Denver...especially if the refs call the game evenly....Jokers fab 4 have to execute...when they don't TWs able to shut Joker down....should be a great game...I don't anticipate any repeat of game 5 or game 6...game 7 should be close.

The Spurs are gonna suck until they make a roster overhaul
Nuggets situation is easy. Murray has never been an all star and is a top 75ish regular season player who turns into a top 10 player in the playoffs. This year he has statistically been one of the worst players in the playoffs.
The people trying to build up the Nuggets have their own flaws. The Woofies have nothing to prove, nothing. If Denver falters tomorrow, there goes the "dynasty" cause it's gonna be OKC, Dallas or MN next few years

Boston over Minnesota???😂😂😂😂 This guy amaze me every time.
Both teams did split plus let’s not act like Finals experience does not mean anything.
Jason why does it sound like you have a problem with "small" players, especially superstars? 🤔 The one guy you seem to prop up is Steph and even he doesn't get his due respect imo.
Kyrie is 10 times better then Booker. Not a comparison
Let me keep it simple: when the Nuggets have bad shooting night, they can’t beat the Wolves. The Nuggets can’t beat good teams in ugly games. So if they struggle making open shots in the 1st quarter, it’s over!

Speaking about Boston answering questions as if Dallas doesn't exist. What a clown. Basically always wrong so always "adjusting". And then continue to speak about the given situations like normal, as if he wasn't claiming the opposite.
Its way too much exposing goung on this series...game 1 and 2...denver got exposed...game 3 4 and 5 wolves got exposed...now game 6...again denver got exposed...the narrative switches faster than phub trends...
The winner will be in the refs hands. Let’s see what gambler pays them the most money
After coming back from 0-2 the nuggets just took game six off. Simple as that. They play Denver as well as anyone and are definitely capable of taking them out. But they definitely don't have anything figured out. Denver missed so many open shots in 6 it was insane. Hard to see them shooting that bad again.
Knicks get crushed by the Celtics. It's gonna be ugly.

NBA is fixed. In no reality should Denver be launching all the three pt shots they did. What's even more apparent is the contested three pt shots they took. In there wins the were getting practice there's. The result of ball movement. The first half was just missed contested threes in volume. These are not serious people.
Jason these takes are trash man. Are you even watching or just looking at box scores???
“An offensive skill advantage?” You fancy yourself and NBA savant. You failed to mention:
- The huge impact that Michael
Conley Jr. has on MN. They
played their worst game when
he’s out.
- Denver’s Flukey offense from
their bench. Not repeatable,
sustainable, nor replicatable.
- Denver has lost every game that
KAT hasn’t been in foul trouble.
- Murray and MPJ have been no
shows. MN has the size and
physicality the Lakers didn’t.
Last year Denver beat two 8 seeds, a 7, and a 4. They had the easiest run to the NBA title in the history of the playoffs. They had zero adversity and they never trailed in a in a series.
