Love the fan, the barrel lid, the board funnel, the thermometer on a stick and even the hot dog snack. This video was delightful and you are clearly a problem solver. I bought one of these DIY barrel evaporators locally yesterday. Gunna try tapping some Norways here in MA. I learned a lot here thank you. 🍁
You are very welcome. Few more weeks and we should be tapping again.
Cool man, gotta love back yard sugaring!
Great video man!! Subscribed!
nice job .
Do you have a video on how you reinforced the cuts for the steam table pans
I always wondered why the back pan is always hotter than the front pan. I know it's closer to the flu, so if you put the flu in the middle of the barrel and have pans at both sides, would the pans heat evenly?
Dimensions on those pans? Building a similar evaporator and those pans look perfect!
How long did it take to boil down 17 gallon? This year will be my first time with the same setup. Awesome job by the way. 👍
I think we got it down to five or six hours. Adding the fan made a huge difference in time.
Great informative video. Undertaking this for the first time this year. Where did you purchase the big funnel and big filters?
The funnel we bought at Tractor Supply, the filters were an Amazon purchase.
@@AmericanAdventuresTJ Thanks, will check that out.
What pans are those?
They are steam table pans I found on Amazon.
@@AmericanAdventuresTJ thanks a bunch and best of luck with your sugaring:)
How many taps did you have
we only had 10.
@@AmericanAdventuresTJ How much syrup did you end up getting from 10?
Where did you get your big old pans from ?
@@daveychirico ordered them off amazon, just search for steam table pans.
