The Walmart page you were on shows that it isn’t available in stores, and they are sold and shipped by SD Bullion. This is one of the ways Walmart is competing with Amazon. They allow other vendors to use their website as a storefront, and take a percentage of the sale. Makes it seem that Walmart has a much bigger product line than they actually have. As it turns out, they appear to be giving Amazon a run for their money.
The good news about this situation, is that maybe they will be opening up the silver community to some newbies. More collectors means that silver can become more mainstream to the public. That’s always a good thing in the marketplace. Let’s drive those prices higher...(come on $35, $40, etc.).
I've never seen it in the Walmart store itself but have seen adds for them all the time. My guess is Walmart drop-ships these because all the adds ive seen are for well above market.
I can fairly confidently guarantee that it will be limited to online sales and you will never see it in supermarkets and convenience stores because the market cant handle that. There isn't enoigh of it for that. Maybe we will see silver coins in all stores again if we ever get Constitutional money back but that is highly unlikely as well.
It's drop shipped from somewhere else. It's not in the store. Basically it is for people who want silver and trust Walmart as a retailer.....it's a market place item not Walmart.com.
Saw an ad in my Facebook newsfeed for Australian silver kangaroos being sold by Wal-Mart. Had a nice little premium on them, above what you'd pay at one of the major online bullion retailers
That is crazy I'm going to have to look that up and go to my local Walmart just to see if they have some in reality that could be a game changer if they are carrying it but yeah at $20 to little high. I would rather buy in Eagle for $18. or rounds at $16.
SD bullion is selling silver at Walmart it is similar to the Amazon platform. Only you get to pay extra because they have to pay Walmart a commission. Don't buy silver@walmart.com or Amazon for that matter
Walmart has a sudo Amazon situation on there website meaning 3rd parties can use the website. Unlike Ebay Walmart only sells third party stuff from large businesses rather than individual sellers. I'm sure the fee and shipping structure Walmart requires will never allow them to become a big player.
The items are sold and shipped by APMEX. I have an account with APMEX. Walmart is charging an extra premium on top of the APMEX premium. Why would anyone do that? Set up an account directly with APMEX. I've been buying through them for several years now and am satisfied with their products and services.
Buy direct from SD Bullion for $16.32(current price) or pay $20.26 for Walmart to be the middle man.
I see in the add “sold and shipped by SD Bullion”

Walmart online is NOT Walmart brick and mortar. It is a site designed to short Amazon.

I first noticed this about a year ago, online only. They were way overpriced.

Imagine if Walmart really did get into the silver bullion market the or Amazon that would be crazy. They would crush the competition.
Yep if you pay the middle man
Walmart has everything you need online
If you are a Mil/Vet... Provident, JM Bullion has "As Low As" for you

That’s funny. SD bullion is great
Walmart is allowing 3rd party sellers I would say don't know for sure I know I would not buy any from Walmart
Yes, I’ve seen Walmart, sears and some more sell silver coins and rounds. I never buy from them, their price is always high.
Mine hasn't yet. 🐉🐅

It's not being sold by Walmart, it's being sold by SD Bullion.
Walmart does have silver rounds and bars but the prices are way too high. So I am not buying from them.
