I fell severely ill with motion sickness trying to read the constantly-moving hand-written piece of paper that could have easily been typed up and screen-recorded instead of using a camera, but it was so worth it to learn about the recent history of sensors. Thank you for your hard work and dedication towards educating the peripheral community.

Rapo has a modified 3395 called the 3398 made with pixart but im not sure what the difference is

My point is the number for the sensor not make sense to me.
around 10 years ago with the 3310, sensors started being advertised as "flawless" so you can't really blame people for buying into that.
Also when you compare an old mouse to a modern mouse with different shapes, coating, weight and sensor likely the modern mouse will feel much better but it's still difficult to tell how much of it is the sensor.

True to an extent. Like when I use the OP1WE with a 3370 I can definitely still perform well, but compared to latest razer tech or even the OP18k with a 3395 its a clear difference and I prefer the better input

Not a standard 3950, either a modified version to or a new pixart SKU. Razer said it wasnt called the 3970

Enough about sensors, but can we talk about Razer burying historical viper and deathadder shapes in favor of more generalized shapes? I kinda miss the wackier and honestly more ergonomic grooves they used to employ...
The new viper v3 pro is one of the best shaped mice I have ever used. It seems the more a company works with pros the safer the shape tends to be.

I never saw tests that tried to find out how accurate sensors are. I feel like thats a big problem in finding out if this matters. When you say you feel the difference between, lets say a 3370 and a 3395, are you using any similar mice that have these sensors? Because I feel like things shape weight or even dpi deviation, are all more noticeable on a mice than bad accruacy.

Sensors are so good these days / for the past 8 years that it doesn't even matter. No LOD problems, no spinouts, no tracking problems. And in my eyes everything above 1k polling is just a marketing trick.
If the XM2w and OP1w don't come out now that the 3950 is available, I'll rip my hair out

I bought an expensive glorious wireless mouse l, THE WIRELESS TRACKING USES 125 HZ AND IS STUTTERY AFF.
