      I always wonder how many cards are thrown out due to blown fuses.

    • @Robertkopp84
      @Robertkopp84 Před 2 lety

      @@mikeycrackson I think the opp is engineered so reasonable, so that it will eventually blow the fuse over time if you don't have a real good psu.
      You have to consider that people run the cards 10 to 20% over the power limit all day and opp is most likely around +30%. One spike on a white label psu and the fuse is gone.

      This is true. A lot of times and different electronics, they don't.

      @@mikeycrackson There are actually alot of reasons that it can happen and sometimes its not even the graphics card breaking sometimes a bad motherboard , PSU etc etc can cause something to blow cheap no name power supplies can cause it

    Nice fix. Its good to have a fuse on board. It saves the life of the board and even the complete videocard. Its very good to have such a good description from the costumer.

    When your PC gets flooded, its usually better to rinse the whole PC with distilled water to remove contaminants (from the flood water) that could cause shorts or eventual corrosions. I personally use dishwashing liquid soap and a soft toothbrush for really dirty ones and to get gunk away from the chip pins. Then dry it for as long as possible beside the hot side of a refrigerator, possibly a week or so. I've seen some people pull 3 days but you just gotta be sure.
