  • Sup guys back again with another under the influence video, i apologize for all the verbal errors on some of the parts mentioned in this video. However, never seen any video on youtube on what modification is needed on the HR rail to fit the VHR rail so i decided to make one real quick, hope you guys like it! I have someone in my town selling both VHR upper and lower for $185 which he lowered the price from $400. So I'm wondering if it's really going to be worth it? I mean that price is kinda too good to be true but sometimes you never know. Is there a way to tell the HR and VHR upper and lower apart from each other?

So besides the fuel rail the upper and lower plenum just bolt on no need to custom the lower plenum

I got another 6 whp, however that was with the addition of PPE longtube headers. I had test pipes on stock manifolds prior. So after the 370z upper/lower ported plenums and PPE headers the difference was another 6 whp and top end power went from falling off at 6900rpm to holding max whp all the way to redline at 7500rpm. Your combination of parts and tuner will yield different results as well. Car is at 320whp/267torque. Stock cams, stock drivetrain.

As far as the chr manifolds, how was the torque difference? ie was it less torque down low, more power up top or more power through out?

    • @projectzs1993

@@ryanscanlan9875 yes only 6whp gain, however the PPE’s really cleaned up the graph and torque kicks in quick and top end just keeps going. However, im happy with my tuners been with them for a long time, my single turbo kit actually comes in today so the PPE’s will be for sale.

I havent done a video because the gains werent much as far as peak power goes, only 6whp. However, the torque comes on sooner and the hp holds all the way to 7700rpm with the VHR manifold compared to the HR dropping at 6800rpm. The car did gain more power throughout the rpm curve but only 6whp peak with longtubes and the manifolds, HR oem headers already well, test pipes ofcourse help which i had so didnt expect to gain much peak with longtubes, i did it to try and get the most out of the HR, along with the VHR manifolds, main difference is the HR now holds peak whp all the way to 7700rpm. Makes it really fun beating some 5.0’s, 392’s, evos sti’s etc..Ill post more videos soon👌

Its a bigger upgrade for the HR motors since the HR plenum isnt as good on top end as the VHR plenum. So you will get gains doing both upper/lower, however its up to you if you want to spend the money or port them yourself.

But just with the Vhr Upper/lower plenums it holds power until Redline?
