I love World’s Strongest, Lord Slug, Super Android 13, and both Revenge & Return of Cooler; Cooler is hilarious and the “He keeps kicking me in the d*ck. Why, why does he keep kicking me in the d*ck.” joke is the funniest thing ever. Even if it is just the punching Jace in the face gag taken to nth degree, I don’t care funny is funny and that sh*t is FUNNY, LOL.
They're insinuating that Disney makes terrible Christmas movies which "suck the Christmas joy out of the Earth" like the Tree of Might.

"Disney evil" has gained a new meaning which makes the line funnier in different ways.
Especially because Disney treats its workers like… what’s worse than trash? ESPECIALLY in its animation and DisneyLand/World departments. It’s a miracle how people still want to work for them.

Turles' goons didn't even last that long against Goku, who just one-shot them all with minimal effort. Oddly enough, it's no different than when Goku fought the Ginyu Force.
It's vastley different. In the Ginyu saga, They all manage to defeat Guldo and do significant damage to Recoome. Then During then Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin are the ones who end up defeating Ginyu in Goku's body.
@@gengarvenom1180 Recoome was a fucking tank, dude was barely phased by everything they were dishing out at him. Like when it came down to it, other than his face the dude had superficial injuries and was just toying with them all. Goku manhandled all of them.

@@gengarvenom1180 You have to admit that the stuff this movie takes from the anime (as all the Z movies usually do) is pretty in line in with Ginyu. Nitty gritty details are much different but similar setup.

I like the idea that Turles basically represents what Goku would be like if he never lost his memories, but aside from that nothing about him reflects Goku's personality.
Given the emphasis on Chi-Chi getting mouthwash for christmas I'm possitive the mouth present is what we all thought about.

My head canon for this movie was always that Turles was Bardock's brother and Goku's uncle.
I like that infinitely more than him by coincidence having the exact same face and voice as goku without any real explanation
Uncle or he his cousin I always thought that too.
It's kind of delicious in retrospect; Vegeta already knew Turles and Raditz, so he probably dismissed the whole family as low-caste weaklings, which helps explain why it pisses him off so much that Goku always surpasses him.

Somehow i never realized Oolongs voice changed over the movies.
I always wonder if Turles wasn't either a promotional bait and switch where they insinuate an evil Goku exists to sell tickets, or originally was a plot that intended to have an evil Goku wished into existence from a timeline where he never came to Earth as a kid, they scrapped the idea but kept the art models and repurposed them for this one. Or a mix of the two.
Wait, but can we think about that "alternate universe Kakkarot" thing for a second? Think about it: the Saiyans of Universe 7 were evil, but Goku is a rare example of a _good_ Saiyan. So if the Saiyans of Universe 6 are _good..._ wouldn't it stand to reason that there could be an alternate Goku who was _evil?_ If they hadn't already done Goku Black, this might have been a cool idea.
Isn't Caulifla supposed to be the alternate Goku?

Funniest of all is that years later, Yamcha is completely loaded, getting the last laugh on that one. If anything, being flat broke and destitute may have been what lead to his major league career.

DBZ has such silly villains. Even though DBZA did Freiza and Cell so well to make them even more evil, I really appreciate that the villains in this movie were taken a step further. That they didn't hold back on making them all genuinely iredeemably awful. No better characters to do it with, than ones that will be dead soon. None of it went too far. Ironcially it's Vegeta who's the most problematic character as he got the same treatment of being evil'd up, only to then become a good guy, and still a total prick. But he also gets his comeuppance a lot. It's a tough thing to get right, that level of evil. And while Vegeta skirts the line of being iredeemable, I think the DBZA team really did fantastic with everyone. With enacting the right amount of karma. The level of quality in DBZA with it's villains is actually so good that I've only seen big name companies do ones as good recently, and I wouldn't be surprised if the writers on those movies were DBZA fans.
A Christmas Carol with Vegata and only Nappa sounds so good, they don't have the stones to do!!!

In hindsight, even if it's frustrating, Piccolo is the Z Fighter that would be able to win against the Crusher Corp. Every single one of them has a power level around twice as high as Nappa's, with each of the twins being the only ones below the double Nappa range.
I like to think Turles doesn't look like Goku, he wants to look like Bardock.

Ya know I think this movie might actually be the first Dragonball content I ever watched. I remember I used to watch Cartoon Networks Moovie mondays and this movie was on one of those I'm pretty sure. Then it was a few years before I saw anything Dragonball related again and it was some of the OG Series playing on Toonami at like 830ish and I watched most of the Red Ribbon arc through that. Didn't actually watch DBZ until Middle school a few years later, when my sisters Boyfriend at the time was obsessed with the series, he had all of DBZ and GT on DVD. I managed to watch through the Freeza Saga before My sister dumped him. Then I went to buy the sets myself so I could finish watching the series and re-discovered the OG series in Disk sets so got those first. Love the OG series. I've since gotten disk sets for through the Cell Saga.
I've never actually watched the Buu saga, I should fix that one of these days
