Which is funny to say, because I was super oblivious about the whole playboy bunny thing for the longest time, or at least the "appeal." When I was younger playing Advanced Adventure and saw Bulma with the bunny outfit, it was just sudden, and like: "oh, she's a bunny lady now. That's weird, but alright!" Then just kept on my merry way lol.

A thing that you guys missed about the "travel to Namek outfit" for Bulma. This is most likely a reference to Alien, specifically to the last portions of it when Ripley sported that "outfit" whilist preparing for cryosleep.

I'd love to see a "Saiyan Outfit" tier list. Each character individually doesn't have enough outfits to build a list of, but putting them all together and discussing their designs and how they represent the characters and the emotions they bring up in their relevance could be really fun.

there's a core design that few characters make dramatic changes to, but at the same time almost every character has their own way of wearing 'em and it's neat to pick up on the individual tweaks
I think the only characters who even come close to needing their own lists beyond Bulma would be Gohan and Trunks.

@@hi-i-am-atan Bardock’s is S tier, no debate, even my custom character in Xenoverse 2 uses it with Tagoma’s scouter because the green sections match perfectly. Fasha’s is also a close second when worn with Nappa’s gauntlets and boots.
They could also do villain designs as many of the villains have transformations, or come back to some dbcember ideas as tier lists are all individual ratings moreso than rating against each other like rating transformations or fights in general.
I appreciate how the same articles of clothing get reused in different outfits. Kinda gives a sense of realism, relatability, and sensibility. Also makes it easier on cosplayers lol
The genie outfit has been used by Toriyama multiple times, both before and after Dragon Ball. He first used it in Dr. Slump and used it a lot in various Dragon Quest games, starting with 3.

I generally prefer the violet, but in this case in particular, it barely even looks like Bulma when the hair's blue, making it violet just makes her look like an entirely different character
I know some people consider them cheap content, but I love lists like this. It allows you to see what content creators think while also giving you a reason to consider your own opinions on the topic.
Because there's two of them and they actually properly discuss all the outfits, and have done their homework it doesn't quite fall into the category you're referring to imo.
If it was just one dude with one picture of each outfit, rating them it would be cheap.
But it really doesn't come off like one of those.

Bulma's genie outfit looks like what would later be the template for the fusion dance costumes. The cuffs, harem-style pants, cropped vest, waist sash- change the colors up and give the vest the iconic puffy parts and it's basically just the fusion costume.
also remove the vest and you basically have chrono trigger marle
Toriyama would later reuse the design wholehog for the Merchant from Dragon Quest III. Literally just change the hair from blue to pink.

I heard in a totally not mark video that Toriyama got his start in doing ads and stuff, so drawing stuff that conveys information as simple as possible in an aesthetically pleasing way was just his bread and butter and bled over into his work.
Dude probably had both a genuine interest in things like fashion and machinery that it wound up following him into his work, even before manga.

One thing I do love about Dragon Ball as a franchise is that many of their characters CHANGE outfits and hairstyles over the years. It always bothers me in cartoons/anime when the characters only wear ONE outfit because it's unrealistic. With Dragon Ball, ESPECIALLY with Bulma, you get VARIETY.

Her outfits are rad so loved this idea; I love that you're paying real attention to actual colour theory and stylised asymmetry. I agreed personally with at least one of you 90% of the time on this and I have to appreciate Toriyama for actually giving her so many outfits when a fair few Shounen Jump artists drew them with the same look most of the time.
Bulma's "genie" outfit is one of my favorite options for Majin in Xenoverse 2. It just fits so well on a female Majin.
Similarly, Bulma's "biker" outfit is also available in XV2.
Yeah. I really wish we could change the color of the biker outfit though. They went suuuuuuper orange with it for some reason.
That biker outfit is so good almost all my CaC's have a variation with it. It just looks good on everyone... except a male Majin and Freeza Race.
I like what that one NPC namekian near the Offline Parallel Quest center does, using the biker pants with the Elite armor looks surprisingly good, you just gotta embrace that color scheme.

There's this weird sense of completion seeing Dragonball and DBZ covered together like this. Like by seeing all these pictures, we're getting the whole picture. Sometime I really need to watch through both series together.

Honestly, as far as tier list videos go, having y'all stand in front of a green screen and physically interact with each other goes a long way in making this better than 98% of other tier lists out there.

I’d personally love to see some creature design analysis from you guys. Dragon Ball has a lot of fantasy & sci-fi influences, from the xenomorph-robot from early DB, to Freeza’s and Cell’s unique transformations, to even the dragons themselves.

Hey guys, congratulations on making the best video you ever put out! Sleeveless or jacket is an easy path to S. And it's amazing how long hair on Bulma doesn't work most of the time, but when it hits, it hits hard. I prefer purple hair on her but it completely alters the color theory of most of the outfits. You'd have to hue shift a lot of them. Don't care for green but it does accent better than a mid tone lavender.

One of the most hilarious costume choices has to be Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger outfit from Black Panther. He just dresses as Vegeta and it's hilarious once you notice.

I was shocked it took me this long to find a comment about this. And that they didn’t mention it. Toriyama has specifically said the alien series is one of his favorites and an influence. There is a 0% chance this outfit is not an Ellen Ripley reference. I kind of assumed this was common knowledge. But. I’m a dork.

Not just two grown men - the voice actors for Trunks and Vegeta lol, kinda adds to it for me
8:50 I absolutely love this outfit because it's something only Bulma can look good in and it tells you everything you need to know about her personality. It's simultaneously badass, fun, adventurous, cute and intrinsically _Bulma,_ and it's a damn shame Toriyama never even used it because it's one of his best designs.
This is a pretty kickass review of the outfits, fun to listen to and think over to set outfits in my own head.

In my opinion, Bulma's Super outfit is a solid A+. If her hair was longer for it, or even just given a ponytail, that'd bump it to an S. And promotional material or not, the candy-striper/1950's skater-waitress look is absolutely amazing. That's a solid S for me on that one.
Bulma has such cute outfits! I adore her looks! I also love how she gave baby Trunks a lil’ kitty ear/demon horn cap, she helps him accessorize so his lil’ outfits don’t clash too heavily with hers~

I'm also amazed how many outfits she has, anime never lets characters have a fraction of a fraction as many as her.

How about: Dragonball Aura ratings, Dragonball Vehicle Rankings (stuff like the saiyan pod, the time machine, Bulma's bike, etc), Dragonball Alien Design rankings (besides Saiyans, Humans, and Namekian obv.), Dragonball Plot Holes, stuff like that. You could do more character design rankings but I think the ones with the most variety are Krillin, Gohan, Videl, Eighteen, and maybe Chi-Chi.
I just love the chemistry between scott and nick so much I could watch them do this every week without getting tired

This is actually a really fun tier list video, definitely would be nice to see you guys rating more outfits or just more specific stuff in general.
And the difference in judgement between Kaiser and Lani works a lot, loved hearing Kaiser's excitement at certain outfits especially at 28:16
It'd be hard to rate all of these outfits individually, but I'd agree with most of the ratings except for some being higher, I'd say Bulma is the one character that Toriyama put the most effort in, to make sure she always had something going on as a look, and her best outfits are the ones that compliment her body or hair without looking too boring or out of place.
I’d be down to see more of these. Maybe one comparing your opinions on the different saiyan suits. Who wore it the best, etc. Also, yes, continue to have fun! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PLACE OF FUN!
Love the 8:50 Wastlander style outfit. Wish this outfit was more well known. It just has so much life to it and says so much. Just oozes adventure feel.

It’s nice to have a straight man and a gay man doing this. Balances out the more fan service stuff Bulma did earlier on. When she became a mom and a wife was when I started to like her most.
The look she has in super is by far my favourite. But also Bulma is how I knew an arc was officially switching.
