Me blending my cereal: “Cinnamon Toastie Pesto.”
Italian here: pesto is a sauce tipically of vegetables and oil PLUS nuts and or cheese. A sauce is anything liquid cooked, and a sugo is what remains after a long cooking procedure. So the one by Carla is a Basil sauce, while if she would have put in cheese and or nuts it would be a pesto, even if inside a food processor.
The sweetness of the tomatoes TEMPERED the vegetal taste of the sauce?! Carla knowwwwssssss 😉

This whole time I’ve thought fennel strictly tasted like liquorice and thought Carla was just a maniac for using it so much
One time I decided to make pesto from scratch but I was out of basil, so I instead used the mint leaves and cilantro in my garden instead. Turned out surprisingly decent.
With a pepper it sounds right for Thai food.

Well, the series took a long time to make, then it was released to BA TV, and only later was it released here gradually.
