Hi Mason - I haven't found any videos on using the mobile phone app for pre-cooling or pre-heating the Taycan, or for setting up the PCM to pre-set the interior temperatures. Also, if you find a Taycan with Night Vision Assist, please demo that too. I found one video in German, and get the gist of it, but if you could review that too, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll have to make a video myself after I figure it out (lots of deer in my area) - My Cross Turismo will be here within a month! Thanks for all the videos so far!

You're welcome Javid! Glad they are helping! Yes you can set up a timer to have the car pre-cooled/heated at a certain time of the day and specific for a day of the week as well! 👍🏼

Good quality information to save your battery. I bet those battery’s aren’t cheap
They are definitely not cheap! Good news you can replace the individual packs in the battery... however an entire battery is 30k+ 🤯
Great video now what we all need is how to use the Porsche charging app (charge America ) to get the free charging. Also please include the other necessary apps from other charging companies we will need for a long road trip. All very confusing and Porsche PCM not a stable platform. Just took delivery on 2021 4S.

Thanks. Considering ordering a base Taycan and not really decide on certain options, in particular Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Adaptive Air Suspension incl. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Sports Chrono Package and Real Axle Steering. Also undecided on Fixed Panoramic Roof. I drive a Boxster and a fixed glass roof doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Is there ever a use in the US for the 150 watt on board charger option? I heard somewhere that it is for Euro cars only.
Not currently! However the next wave of charger tech is set to be 400V >50kW. Not reliably available at the moment but seems as though as it will be the future! Charging companies are currently testing this tech to convert current chargers, those of which are non 800V networks. It will help to future proof the Taycan along with the 19.2kW on-board Ac Charger! 👍🏼
Is it possible some of the late mode 2020 Taycans have wireless apple car play and OTA updates?
Great question Alex! Yes the 2020 Taycan has the ability for OTA! As for the Apple CarPlay being wireless not yet... wouldn't be surprised if there is an update sometime in the near future to bring wireless functionality to the 2020 😉

Just bought a 4S can I charge the batteries to 100% when I’m doing long road trips like

I have a 2020 that Porsche just offered to update the software on. I just took a road trip and found it very easy to just charge it until there was a small (15-20%) margin showing for my next stop. I charged on 200 KW chargers and most of the time it was charging at 150 KW. Given that, I am wondering if I should take it in for the software update and it seems to me that it would not offer that much. Am I missing something?
What was the percentage of the battery when you noticed this?
@@Pcarwhisperer 1t was typically at 20%. I'm just saying I don't need more automation, it's easy to manage by just putting in your next stop and charging until you have the margin you want.

Is the Charging Planner and Intelligent Range Manager same or different?
Hi Rahul! Great question... the Intelligent Range Manager is an extension of the Charging Planner. The Intelligent Range manager will be running in the background while traveling and may suggest when a destination is active in the PCM that there may be a way to save time by switching the car into range mode limiting the speed and air con. It will pop up in the PCM and prompt to switch to range mode if it did find a faster route with less charging stops! 👍🏼 Hope this helps!
How low should you let the battery percentage get in order to maintain battery good life?
Marco there is several different schools of thought but if I were you I would let it get down to around 25-30% before charging it again!

How do I pre-condition my battery while charging at home to get it to a 80 degree temperature before beginning the trip without using the connect app?
Hi Charles! Great question! The best way to pre-conditon the battery before departing your home is to use "timer's" to set up your departure times on any given day! Please see this video one how to set up timers and profiles

@@Pcarwhisperer Mason: I saw how to get the car interior to a particular temperature, but I was really talking about battery temperature. Do I understand that as the timer gets me ready for a particular time of departure, it is raising the battery temperature but not necessarily to a particular point, just whatever it turns out to be after it sets the car temperature? I did try "pre-heat" for from 75-82% to 80 degrees internal temperature and it raised the battery temperature from 55-60. If I had set a timer and temperature would it have raised the battery temperature higher?
@@ChuckJ1944 Charles that is exactly right! While the timer may be heating the interior of the car it will also be sending heat to the Low Temperature system in the Taycan to warm the battery through a series of mixing valves and heater core to warm battery. However it will not warm it all the way to 86F. As far as I am aware when starting in the morning and to begin driving there is not a way to heat it to at least 86F but should shortly reach that range once driving has started. Hope this helps 👍🏼
