      SUCH a good looking game - I feel bad speeding it up to be honest, just watching and listening to the hustle and bustle is amazing. There 100% is more quality ASMR content to be made with this game

    I like where you built the church. You should put the Manor House on the hill where you were first thinking of building the church. The Manor is a defensive structure so it should be built on high ground with a commanding view. You just need to clear cut the forest up there.

      Thank you! Not a bad suggestion - my other thought at the moment is behind the church on the slight rise with some more fields around it... not sure what I am going to go with yet.

      @The_Beard ultimately, wherever you decide to build it, will be the correct location because it's your game. Just keep in mind that the manor is not just 1 building. It is the primary building of your castle, so you need space for the towers and walls. Not a lot of space, though. You are, after all, a fairly minor noble. But at least some space.

    You said the rye is horrible, but it is by far the best of any of the crops [edit] for this region [end edit]. Unfortunately rye is locked behind the tech tree. You have to get to second town level before you can plant rye.

      @The_Beard  Před 20 dny +1

      You are correct! I think I just skimmed over the fertility BEACUSE it is locked behind the tech tree - by chance do you know how many tech points in total are available to a region?

    • @spamfilter32
      @spamfilter32 Před 20 dny

      @@The_Beard I believe it is 6 in total. Definitely a minimum of 5, but I have heard six from a couple of people.

      @@spamfilter32 Good to know - will plan for 5, the 6th would be a bonus

    The saw pit can only have logs delivered to it by the ox. So, when you have only 1 ox they Saw pit gets logs after construction. The Saw pit will work much better when you have a second ox

      Yea - I think the ox really start to unlock lots of the bottle necks in town TBH. I think I need more!

    @18:48 You misread your weapons quantity. That was your surplus. So you have 10 spears and 10 shields sitting in your storage hut. As your town grows, the men that move in will go to the storage hut and take a spear and shield each until the surplus is zero. So you have enough weapons' and shields to field a militia of 20 men. Those bandit camps that appear on the map will not ever directly attack you. The bandits that attack you will always come from off the map. The first one that attacks you, you will get a 365 day advance warning before they appear. If you go and attack the bandit camps, you get prestige and you get money if you clear the camps after the bandits have been defeated. But be aware, when you raise your militia, none of the men in it are able to do any other work, so they can not chop trees, or fire wood or hunt or any other job that only men can do. Women can do construction and cut timber into planks, and collect berry's so you can still do those tasks while the militia is raised.

      You are WAY more on top of this than I am - you are going to laugh when you see how this all plays out...

  • @spamfilter32
    @spamfilter32 Před 22 dny

    The Trade development isn't necessary. You can trade without paying for a route for a lot of different goods. Timber is a good early export. the export price is only 2, but you can sell a fair amount of them. It only takes 10 planks to get a second ox, and only 13 to build another chicken coop. You could also trade the deer hides. I think you get 4 silver per hide, and since you haven't built the tannery you are not using them otherwise.

    • @The_Beard
      @The_Beard  Před 20 dny +1

      Yea I think I agree - wasted that development point there I think. Still wrestling with trade - will get it right! Thank you for the tips!

    • @spamfilter32
      @spamfilter32 Před 20 dny

      @The_Beard I said Timber but I ment planks for the 1st word of the 3rd sentence.

    • @spamfilter32
      @spamfilter32 Před 20 dny

      @The_Beard no problem. And while they are not necessary, the trade development points ARE powerful. Especially the lvl 2 one where the import cost is the same as the export cost. But since you can have multiple settlements, each with there own development trees, you can create 1 settlement to be a trade hub that takes those trade points and does all the import/export for all your settlements and the goods get redistributed to from the trade hub.
      Lastly, there are some goods that you can not import/export with out setti g up a dedicated trade route. And each trade route you set up raises the cost for all other trade routes you want to set up.
      Spears, for example, require a dedicated trade route, and you can't make them yourself until you get an iron mine up and running.
