Hi and thank you for the comments. Sorry it took a while to respond. I took some time off for the holidays and to work on my latest online class, which will be a start to finish video with voice over and all products used listed on this piece. I'm never really sure if people on CZcams want to see all the details, or if they (like me) just want to watch people paint and create. I'll include more product and process details in my next video for CZcams. Thanks again for the comments, really appreciate them. :)

Naomi, what liquid was that you used to clean the wax painting with after you coloured it? 😀

I was curious too. Looks like it was linseed oil.

VIP Question- following your steps to the letter and the last step- rubbing the oil on and off- how long does it typically take for your oil hang up to dry? Mine has been drying for a week now and can still be smudged out of recesses?... thanks 😊

Rebekkah Ziel hi! Yes it can take a long time for the oil sticks to dry, as oil paint does. It depends on how much you use. After I fuse the oil stick into the wax, however, the oil no longer smudges because it sinks in to the layers. Hope that helps!?

Hi! I love your work! Would you mind telling us what color oil sticks you are using? Thank you!

Hi Carol. Thank you so much for your kind words. The colors I used were Raw Umber, Graphite Grey, Indigo and Prussian Blue, in that order. I'll start to list the supplies I use during each video on my Facebook page.

Wonderful video. What do you use to paste the paper on the board. I have trouble with the paste I use. Thanks Susan

Hi Susan and thank you :) I use Decou-page by Americana in Matte or Golden's Gel Medium. These work great, you just need to make sure there are no bubbles underneath and that the glue is left to dry before adding the Encaustic. Hope that helps!?

What was that bottle of stuff you used for cleaning back the oil stick layer, please? Loved the process and so look forward to having a go at this encaustic myself. XTibbyX
