    Great demonstration of the differences! I've watched this twice, unfortunately CZcams will only allow me one like! I think I could sit and watch the wax move all day! Both techniques look like fun. TFS!

    Can one uses the white hot wax as a base and then just drip in different ink colours before u pour? Will it give the same effect as acrylic pouring?

    Great videos all the time! Just a quick question...why do you use a torch to fuse vs a heat gun? I understand using it for the shellac burn but just for routine fusing?
    Also, do you use the titanium white or the zinc white (semi transparent vs opaque?)

    • @ShariReplogle
      @ShariReplogle  Před 7 lety

      Great question StudioinColor ! On smaller pieces I usually use both interchangeably most of the time, especially in processes such as this where both the torch and heat gun can give slightly different and really interesting effects . On larger panels I will mostly stick to the torch . It just so happens that all of my heat guns are packed up this week from a recent live workshop and so I just used the torch :)

    Are you letting the shellac dry before torching it? Some videos indicate it is very flammable unless left to dry but it doesn’t appear that there is dry time.

    The audio on this is terrible! Too softly spoken; the music, too loud. Good thing I’m a visual learner.
