How do you get past the pebbly texture after putting wax over the top of the surfpaper? do you just scrape?

Fun technique using the metal chain to make impressions into the wax before adding the colors. I didn't know you could put a lot of color and then kind of just wipe it into the grooves and take off most of the color. Very different than say watercolor or acrylic. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the angle shot used to show the wax when heating with the heat gun. The first video to actually show it. Everybody tries to describe it instead of showing it.
