Honestly, I think this is the best 3d printer reviewing channel there is.
There is so much detail and clarification provided that it makes it easy for anyone of any level to understand.
Also I really respect the lack of clickbait in your vids, titles, and thumbnails.
Not to diss the other channels, but I always raise an eyebrow when those thumbnails and titles try to make it look like there aren't any issues at all with a product

Great review as always, I was really impressed with the tolerance test, and overall print quality looks solid. While the lack of crossbar gives it a unique look, having a heccin chonker of a base and hefty boi braces on the Z towers that they have to do to claw back the structural rigidity seems a bit unnecessary. I'm probably just not their intended customer base.

A rail on top is also convenient for moving the printer, I just had to move a couple of my old CR-10s and the top rail made a perfect handle.

you know I have loved watching your channel grow over the years!!! including you two barely see your brother any more though.. but it's awesome watching a smarty pants teach me things, not as much modding as you use to do, but your channel has been my favorite for 3d printers.. speaking of, have you deleted videos???? if you have but still have the files maybe you can start a second channel dedicated to those older 3D printers, this is starting to come in short supply as people move on to newer machines, some of these machines are work horses and starting to become really hard to get modded or not, my 1st printer was a Tevo Tornado 2018 special edition my 2nd is a Anycubic I3 Mega S still have them.. I don't have a lot of machines but weirdly I seem to mod them more then use them thus far, (trying to break that habit lol) for example I bought as they came out the the H2 Smart H2O Light & Revo along with the crab from BIQU, for my BX back in 2020-2021 my BX is still in the box not sure whats wrong with me but I am going to set it up tonight or tomorrow and put the smart on it, even printing a benchy out of it would make me happy!! lol point I thought I seen you do a Tevo Tornado review or a BX review awhile back not the newer BX from a year or so ago, but around release year???? any who have a very Blessed week take care

Cant wait for the day for companies to be featuring 330 degree hotends. It doesnt make much sense why most dont aim for it. You unlock like 30 new filament types and after 330 you dont really get many new filament types until 400 C

With these high speed bed slingers, they NEED to get the spools off the top of the machine. Just adds to vibration and less than perfect prints. They should use bowdens to the direct print heads.
Not that hard and adds next to no cost.
These are great reviews. I print a lot of TPU so I appreciate you including TPU in your testing.
I'm in the market for a 300 mm class printer. I'd get the Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus, but I don't want acetyl V rollers on a large fast machine for production use, so the T300 looks like a good candidate. I'm not that interested in speed and care a lot more about print quality, and the linear rails of the T300 look very good to me.
13:35 - I'm not sure that's actually ringing in the traditional sense. For such a tall part with thin walls, I suspect the bed slinger is causing the walls of the part to deform under acceleration, as opposed to ringing artifacts from the print head deviating from its programmed path, even though the defects would be similar.

That's quite a robust-looking printer, especially for one without a top crossbar. Between this, the T500, and the Peopoly Magneto X, it seems like there is a budding trend of making heavier printers to help handle the forces involved in high-speed printing.
But is that yet another new nozzle type? The Creality-Sovolcano nozzles were bad enough, and if the T300 doesn't even use those I can't imagine wanting to buy this printer until some enterprising people come out with a mod for installing actual Mk8/V6/Volcano nozzles.

Thorough review as always; thank you. I'm a longstanding fan of Sovol, so hearing they merged with Comgrow was a surprise. I can't say that the ringing at the top of the tall trash can was unexpected. A top cross member would have reduced that slightly since the printer is relying on the rigidity of the X axis for side to side stability, but there's still going to be torsion forces. That's expected since the Z axes reinforcements were only at the base. Ideally there should be hypotenusal supports. How long before Steve_Wing has this unit on eBay? 😁

Hello gang, nice printer and great review. I have a CR10S Pro with mods. I added the linear rails to my Y axis and a thin Bed Plate to lighten the Y sling weight. this one also has Linear rails at the X and Z is that a good next step for my 10S Pro. I like there rear Z axis supports But i have 10S Max type struts out front. Is that good enough? I measured the deflection at the top of the Z frame and was reduced by a whole lot. I also went Pi, Klipper and Dual Side Cooling fan. I find I dial in Z height best by printing an Axle i use on my model train test stand. Its 3mm Diameter I print a short section then check the elephant foot at the bottom. No Foot Lower .01mm yes Foot, raise .01mm until the axle prints perfect and sticks to the bed with an IPA wipe down between prints. The Speed on the T300 is really scarry. I am at 180 mps and see the taller prints need slower speeds, the part itself has inertia to change direction too fast. If i have a tall but wide and thin part would it help stability and speed to print it at a 45 rotation so the widest part is corner to corner diagonally. PS Mainsail WiFi screen is so good, check the print progress and web cam view from upstairs during dinner if you need to. D
How thick is the buildplate?
Here's what I don't like: the proprietary nozzle and the proximity probe (I prefer touch probes, like BLTouch)
By the way, I hope Sovol/Comgrow is donating generously to the Klipper project.
is it me or the bed seems to bounce a lot compared to other 3d printers? is it cause the table is not strong enough given the weight to stay rigid or is it just the printer bed?

your pro # 3 you say it uses default "native klipper firmware with the moonraker api".
so i'm trying to set up octoeverywhere. which requires i ssh into the printer. i don't know the default login and password. in the video you logged into the machine as "mks" is that your own login you setup yourself? if not what is the default SSH login for this machine? i'm reaching out on the official facebook group. i'm googling. i'm finding nothing.
if you can help. it's greatly appreciated.
All MakerBase motherboard use this default login:
username: mks
password: makerbase
alright. found someone doing a fresh install of makerbase moonraker api. mks is username. makerbase is default password
I don't quite understand the differences in all of these "different" nozzles (shapes) for different machines--besides the orifice diameter being different, they all use the same M6 x 1 thread. Since the Z-axis is either auto leveled or can manually zero out the Z height offset, the shape of the nozzle shouldn't matter.
I want a Bambu but the printbed is too dam small!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when are they gonna make a bigger one????????????
I really like your channel and you have a lot of good info, but why on earth do you stick to those same, equal electronic music tracks - it gets on my nerves!
Enormous amount of wringing when printing a high object at top speed..... If you want that better pay 100 euros/dollars more for a Bambulab P1P (although the build volume is a bit smaller)

I don't agree with the quality of the 1 layer test. It should be perfect on all printers. I got it perfect on an Ender 5 Plus which is larger that this one. How can you print a quality technical piece where the first layer is the one that will be seen which such problems, The mesh leveling should fix that, if it is not, then it's badly done.
Especially when the printer is $500+
