You lost me when the weight wasn't eagles per cheeseburger.
Good info. I’m not a fan of the black acrylic anywhere that it will be hit by direct sunlight. It gets insanely hot and it expands dramatically. If care is not taken to allow for expansion the acrylic can crack at the fasteners. I actually prefer black Starboard for dash panels.

I had my dash redone with acrylic. I don't know exactly what it was but the guy doing the dash had a small bottle with a pointed thin tip. It kind of looked like the bottles of CA glue but I'm sure it wasn't. He would put a few drops on the acrylic and then he would press two pieces together and in just a few seconds they would be bonded together so strong that if you were to try and separate them the acrylic would break before the bond failed.
