My father was killed by a drunk driver & my dad was just getting out of his car arriving home from work .. the same drunk driver struck & killed a little girl a year previous . My life will never be the same .Never !!!!!

Vehicular homicides are treated as happy lil accidents by the law. It is hardly ever punished and often just a slap on the wrist and a stern talking to. Nothing will ever change if drunk driving is never punished
You can't get upset with an attorney for doing their job, everyone is entitled to legal representation. Even people who are clearly guilty get a day in court and it's incredibly frustrating that so many people don't understand why our system works that way.

The mother of those two precious children "How am I suppose to live without my babies"... that literally brought me to my knees. Just devastatingly heartbreaking! I hope the woman that kiiled the children and injured the other's so, bady doesn't end up slipping through the cracks and serving way less then she deserves which is life. It is already been proven she's a risk to society. May God be with the families involved for strength.

2nd Degree Murder?! NO. She should've been charged with 8 counts of 1st Degree Capital Murder! Adding to that, 15 1st Degree Attempted Capital Murder charges should've been brought on this driver!
First degree murder involves premeditation which would be hard to prove unless you've got witnesses willing to testify that prior to driving into the boat house she said something like... "I'm going to drive my car through the boathouse and murder as many people as I can" It's felony second degree murder because the deaths occured as a result of the felony drunk driving. Overcharging of defendants does nothing except pad the feelings of people who react to things emotionally.
The clip, at the end, mentions a lawsuit. It is worth noting that the damages for death and personal injury in a DWI crash cannot be discharged in bankruptcy (US Code, Title 11 section 523(a)(9))
Unfortunately, it is legal for people to intoxicate themselves with alcohol (and now also canabis, in some states) but we get upset when intoxicated people make bad decisions like trying to drive. So it's OK 4 people to adlepate their thinking but not ok for them to make bad decisions after getting wasted. This does not make sense to me.
Why are they allowing victim impact statements at arraignments? Couldn't this be something that the suspect's lawyer could use at trial that would prevent her from receiving the right verdict or the right punishment?
It's not an impact statement it was an outburst from the family, probably speaking to possible bond there is no jury in an arraignment and the judge won't be the same at trial, that being said he shouldn't have allowed it to go on like that and it's kind of inappropriate for the media to put it out there but that's the age we live in.

He’s not one of the Judges that I am familiar with at Monroe County. Because she’s charged with murder maybe I am not sure. It does look like a medical condition happen causing the vehicle to drive straight at full speed. Its a horrible accident however she was drinking along with taking several prescribed medications. The medical doctor should place a NO DRIVE order to the DMV to prevent liability from the Doc prescribing and treating her seizures...The family could possible sue the medical doctors treating this person. In addition the business serving alcohol allowing her to leave if in fact she had shown signs of being intoxicated... The video of the bar will be released

Should not be in court room it's a arraignment. No matter how hostile they are it won't bring them back. Sad for all parties involved.
