- Halberd HUO2 4x4 ATV Tire Test Review, Affordable 4x4 ATV Tires. Halberd is a newer manufacturer on the market looking to fill the need for good quality, economically priced tires. They recently asked if we’d check out a set of their HU02 sport/utility ATV tires. Certainly not a fancy name, the HU02s were developed with durability, lightweight, and versatility in mind. Knowing there are a ton of riders out there in need of a light, versatile tire or who don’t want to have to choose between new shoes for the quad or making the truck payment, this test is for you!
A new set of tires can do a lot to restore the performance of an ATV. Whether you’re on your first tire change out or you’re looking for a good set of tires at a price that won’t exceed the value of your machine, the Halberd’s HU02 tires can get you down the trail without breaking the bank.
While non directional tires can last longer due to the fact that they can be rotated and run in either direction to extend life, we like that these tires offer the benefits of a directional tread with a rubber compound that seems built to last at a price that’s hard to beat.

Really good presentation, guys. Valid opinions after really putting these tires to the test 👊🤘🎉
Thanks guys! It's nice to review an affordable replacement product for once that does a good job and doesn't come with the expectations of winning a championship.
@@ATVonDemand It's true. This is a good option for a replacement tire that appears to be fairly durable as well.
Since we are in a sport atv drought, I think every channel should do a sport utility review where you make each quad a better trail riding machine, improved tires, handling, and suspension. Then have a shoot out. I’m talking a real world atv trail riding. Not ixcr racing but going hard at Hatfield McCoy for 50-90 miles and have performance but comfort.
I've been experimenting with various chinese tire brands on cars and trucks and have had very good results at superbprices (Canada) It stands to reason they could make a great value priced ATV tire. Truth is we've found humble 4 ply 25" tires with under 1" tread blocks perform almost the same as big mud tires in most trail situations, but are smoother and you notice significant acceleration improvement with lighter tires.
That's some great input. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great review! 👏
We keep it real.
Good review. Just ordered a set
Please let us know how you like them.
Had not heard of them... But now I am informed.. 👍👍👍

They were a new brand to us as well.
Love the test track is this the track you guys usually use?
East Fork MX is a place we test pretty often.
@@ATVonDemand too bad I'm in phx AZ we don't have anything like that here
I'd love to see an in depth review if the top budget tires and for a min if three terrain types. Mud, multi-trail, rock. Report on best performance and wear. Finally, which tires/brands run true for height.
I'm sick and tired of tire size being a mystery. If you make a 26", how can it possible measure 24.75"?
That's a great suggestion. Tire sizes can be pretty inconsistent.
@@dcsales2007 an ATV tire is supposed to run from 4-10 psi, so any tire should measure very close to size in that range.
Take this example of BS. Buy an XMR and it comes with 30" kryptids that measure 28". Buy 30" from kryptid and they measure 30". WTF is that about?
@@dcsales2007 I'm going to need to replace the OEM's on my 850 touring. Claimed 26", they are 25". The 1000 says 27", but max clearance is actually a true 26".
So I must assume the OEM's for the 1000 are 26".
I'd like to go up a size, but what tire actually is a true 26"?
I can't be the only one losing their mind trying to just buy a tire that will be the desired size lol.
I can't afford to get a smaller than advertised tire because it's a 2 up. The extra weight with a passenger lowers the clearance. I must have at min the OEM height.
I bought 26"'s a few years ago for a KQ. They sized 24.75" not even close to 26". And oddly they seemed huge in comparison to the stock Carlisle tires advertised as 25"
